1 A s to sons of Reuben, first-born of Israel -- for he the first-born, and on account of his profaning the couch of his father hath his birthright been given to the sons of Joseph son of Israel, and not to be reckoned by genealogy for the birthright,

Quanto aos filhos de Rúben, o primogênito de Israel (pois ele era o primogênito; mas, porquanto profanara a cama de seu pai, deu-se a sua primogenitura aos filhos de José, filho de Israel, de sorte que a sua genealogia não é contada segundo o direito da primogenitura;

2 f or Judah hath been mighty over his brother, and for leader above him, and the birthright to Joseph.

pois Judá prevaleceu sobre seus irmãos, e dele proveio o príncipe; porém a primogenitura foi de José);

os filhos de Rúben o primogênito de Israel: Hanoque, Palu, Hezrom e Carmi.

4 S ons of Joel: Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,

Os filhos de Joel: Semaías, de quem foi filho Gogue, de quem foi filho Simei,

5 M icah his son, Reaiah his son, Baal his son,

de quem foi filho Mica, de quem foi filho Reaías, de quem foi filho Baal,

6 B eerah his son, whom Tilgath-Pilneser king of Asshur removed; he prince of the Reubenite.

de quem foi filho Beera, a quem Tilgate-Pilneser levou cativo; ele foi príncipe dos rubenitas.

7 A nd his brethren, by their families, in the genealogy of their generations, heads: Jeiel, and Zechariah,

E seus irmãos, pelas suas famílias, quando se fez a genealogia das suas gerações, foram: o chefe Jeiel, Zacarias,

8 a nd Bela son of Azaz, son of Shema, son of Joel -- he is dwelling in Aroer, even unto Nebo and Baal-Meon;

9 a nd at the east he dwelt even unto the entering in of the wilderness, even from the river Phrat, for their cattle were multiplied in the land of Gilead.

ao oriente habitou até a entrada do deserto, desde o rio Eufrates; porque seu gado se tinha multiplicado na terra de Gileade.

10 A nd in the days of Saul they have made war with the Hagarites, who fall by their hand, and they dwell in their tents over all the face of the east of Gilead.

E nos dias de Saul fizeram guerra aos hagarenos, que caíram pela sua mão; e eles habitaram nas suas tendas em toda a região oriental de Gileade.

11 A nd the sons of Gad, over-against them have dwelt in the land of Bashan unto Salcah,

E os filhos de Gade habitaram defronte deles na terra de Basã, até Salca:

12 J oel the head, and Shapham the second, and Jaanai and Shaphat in Bashan;

o chefe Joel, Safã o segundo, Janai e Safate em Basã,

13 a nd their brethren of the house of their fathers Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber, seven.

e seus irmãos, segundo as suas casas paternas: Micael, Mesulão, Sebá, Jorai, Jacã, Ziá e Eber, sete.

14 T hese sons of Abihail son of Huri, son of Jaroah, son of Gilead, son of Michael, son of Jeshishai, son of Jahdo, son of Buz;

Estes foram os filhos de Abiail, filho de Huri, filho de Jaroá, filho de Gileade, filho de Micael, filho de Jesisai, filho de Jado, filho de Buz;

15 A hi son of Abdiel, son of Guni, head of the house of their fathers;

Aí, filho de Abdiel, filho de Guni, chefe das casas paternas.

16 a nd they dwell in Gilead in Bashan, and in her small towns, and in all suburbs of Sharon, upon their outskirts;

E habitaram em Gileade, em Basã, e nas suas aldeias, como também em todos os arrabaldes de Sarom até os seus termos.

17 a ll of them reckoned themselves by genealogy in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.

Todos estes foram registrados, segundo as suas genealogias, nos dias de Jotão, rei de Judá, e nos dias de Jeroboão, rei de Israel.

18 S ons of Reuben, and the Gadite, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh, of sons of valour, men bearing shield and sword, and treading bow, and taught in battle, forty and four thousand and seven hundred and sixty, going out to the host.

Os rubenitas, os gaditas, e a meia tribo de Manassés tinham homens valentes, que traziam escudo e espada e entesavam o arco, e que eram destros na guerra, quarenta e quatro mil setecentos e sessenta, que saíam ã peleja.

19 A nd they make war with the Hagarites, and Jetur, and Naphish, and Nodab,

Fizeram guerra aos hagarenos, bem como a Jetur, a Nafis e a Nodabe,

20 a nd they are helped against them, and the Hagarites are given into their hand, and all who with them, for they cried to God in battle, and He was entreated of them, because they trusted in Him.

e foram ajudados contra eles, de sorte que os hagarenos e todos quantos estavam com eles foram entregues em sua mão; porque clamaram a Deus na peleja, e ele lhes deu ouvidos, porquanto confiaram nele.

21 A nd they take captive their cattle, of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of human beings a hundred thousand;

E levaram o gado deles: cinqüenta mil camelos, duzentos e cinqüenta mil ovelhas e dois mil jumentos; e também cem mil homens,

22 f or many have fallen pierced, for of God the battle; and they dwell in their stead till the removal.

pois muitos caíram mortos, porque de Deus era a peleja; e ficaram habitando no lugar deles até o cativeiro.

23 A nd the sons of the half of the tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land, from Bashan unto Baal-Hermon, and Senir, and mount Hermon, they have multiplied.

Os filhos da meia tribo de Manassés habitaram naquela terra; e multiplicaram-se desde Basã até Baal-Hermom, Senir, e o monte Hermom.

24 A nd these heads of the house of their fathers, even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, men mighty in valour, men of name, heads to the house of their fathers.

E estes foram os cabeças de suas casas paternas, a saber: Efer, Isi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremias, Hodavias e Jadiel, homens valentes, homens de nome, e chefes das suas casas paternas.

25 A nd they trespass against the God of their fathers, and go a-whoring after the gods of the peoples of the land whom God destroyed from their presence;

Cometeram, porém, transgressões contra o Deus de seus pais, e se prostituíram, seguindo os deuses dos povos da terra, os quais Deus destruíra de diante deles.

26 a nd stir up doth the God of Israel the spirit of Pul king of Asshur, and the spirit of Tilgath-Pilneser king of Asshur, and he removeth them -- even the Reubenite, and the Gadite, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh -- and bringeth them in to Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and the river of Gozan unto this day.

Pelo que o Deus de Israel excitou o espírito de Pul, rei da Assíria, e o espírito de Tilgate-Pilneser, rei da Assíria, que os levaram cativos, a saber: os rubenitas, os gaditas, e a meia tribo de Manassés; e os transportaram para Hala, Habor, Hara, e para o rio de Gozã, onde estão até o dia de hoje.
