1 A nd it cometh to pass, in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first of the month, hath a word of Jehovah been unto me, saying,

Sucedeu que, no ano duodécimo, no mês duodécimo, ao primeiro do mês, veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

2 ` Son of man, lift up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and thou hast said unto him: A young lion of nations thou hast been like, And thou as a dragon in the seas, And thou comest forth with thy flowings, And dost trouble the waters with thy feet, And thou dost foul their flowings.

Filho do homem, faze uma lamentação sobre Faraó, rei do Egito, e dize-lhe: Foste assemelhado a um leão novo entre as nações; contudo tu és como um dragão nos mares; pulavas nos teus rios e os sujavas, turvando com os pés as suas águas.

3 T hus said the Lord Jehovah: And -- I have spread out for thee My net, With an assembly of many peoples, And they have brought thee up in My net.

Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Estenderei sobre ti a minha rede por meio duma companhia de muitos povos, e eles te alçarão na minha rede.

4 A nd I have left thee in the land, On the face of the field I do cast thee out, And have caused to dwell upon thee every fowl of the heavens, And have satisfied out of thee the beasts of the whole earth.

Então te deixarei em terra; sobre a face do campo te lançarei, e farei pousar sobre ti todas as aves do céu, e fartarei de ti os animais de toda a terra.

5 A nd I have put thy flesh on the mountains, And filled the valleys thy hugeness,

E porei as tuas carnes sobre os montes, e encherei os vales da tua altura.

6 A nd watered the land with thy flowing, From thy blood -- unto the mountains, And streams are filled from thee.

Também com o teu sangue regarei a terra onde nadas, até os montes; e as correntes se encherão de ti.

7 A nd in quenching thee I have covered the heavens, And have made black their stars, The sun with a cloud I do cover, And the moon causeth not its light to shine.

E, apagando-te eu, cobrirei o céu, e enegrecerei as suas estrelas; ao sol encobrirei com uma nuvem, e a lua não dará a sua luz.

8 A ll luminaries of light in the heavens, I make black over thee, And I have given darkness over thy land, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah,

Todas as brilhantes luzes do céu, eu as enegrecerei sobre ti, e trarei trevas sobre a tua terra, diz o Senhor Deus.

9 A nd I have vexed the heart of many peoples, In My bringing in thy destruction among nations, Unto lands that thou hast not known.

E afligirei o coração de muitos povos, quando eu levar a efeito a tua destruição entre as nações, até as terras que não conheceste.

10 A nd I have made many peoples astonished at thee, And their kings are afraid at thee with trembling, In My brandishing My sword before their faces, And they have trembled every moment, Each for his life -- in the day of thy fall.

Demais farei com que muitos povos fiquem pasmados a teu respeito, e os seus reis serão sobremaneira amedrontados, quando eu brandir a minha espada diante deles; e estremecerão a cada momento, cada qual pela sua vida, no dia da tua queda.

11 F or thus said the Lord Jehovah: A sword of the king of Babylon entereth thee,

Pois assim diz o Senhor Deus: A espada do rei de Babilônia virá sobre ti.

12 B y swords of the mighty I cause thy multitude to fall, The terrible of nations -- all of them, And they have spoiled the excellency of Egypt, And destroyed hath been all her multitude.

Farei cair a tua multidão pelas espadas dos valentes; terríveis dentre as nações são todos eles; despojarão a soberba do Egito, e toda a sua multidão será destruída.

13 A nd I have destroyed all her beasts, From beside many waters, And trouble them not doth a foot of man any more, Yea, the hoofs of beasts trouble them not.

Exterminarei também todos os seus animais de junto

14 T hen do I cause their waters to sink, And their rivers as oil I cause to go, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

Então tornarei claras as suas águas, e farei correr os seus rios como o azeite, diz o Senhor Deus.

15 I n My making the land of Egypt a desolation, And desolated hath been the land of its fulness, In My smiting all the inhabitants in it, And they have known that I Jehovah.

Quando eu tornar desolada a terra do Egito, e ela for despojada da sua plenitude, e quando eu ferir a todos os que nela habitarem, então saberão que eu sou o Senhor.

16 A lamentation it, and they have lamented her, Daughters of the nations do lament her, For Egypt, and for all her multitude, they lament her, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.'

Esta é a lamentação que se fará; que as filhas das nações farão sobre o Egito e sobre toda a sua multidão, diz o Senhor Deus.

17 A nd it cometh to pass, in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth of the month, hath a word of Jehovah been unto me, saying,

Também sucedeu que, no ano duodécimo, aos quinze do mês, veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

18 ` Son of man, Wail for the multitude of Egypt, And cause it to go down, It -- and the daughters of honourable nations, Unto the earth -- the lower parts, With those going down to the pit.

Filho do homem, pranteia sobre a multidão do Egito, e faze-a descer, a ela e

19 T han whom hast thou been more pleasant? Go down, and be laid with the uncircumcised.

A quem sobrepujas tu em beleza? Desce, e deita-te com os incircuncisos.

20 I n the midst of the pierced of the sword they fall, the sword she hath been given, They drew her out, and all her multitude.

No meio daqueles que foram mortos ã espada eles cairão; ã espada ela está entregue; arrastai-a e a toda a sua multidão.

21 S peak to him do the gods of the mighty out of the midst of sheol, With his helpers -- they have gone down, They have lain with the uncircumcised, The pierced of the sword.

Os poderosos entre os valentes lhe falarão desde o meio do Seol, com os que o socorrem; já desceram, jazem quietos os incircuncisos, mortos a espada.

22 T here Asshur, and all her assembly, Round about him his graves, All of them wounded, who are falling by sword,

Ali está Assur com toda a sua companhia. Em redor dele estão os seus sepulcros; todos eles foram mortos, caíram ã espada.

23 W hose graves are appointed in the sides of the pit, And her assembly is round about her grave, All of them wounded, falling by sword, Because they gave terror in the land of the living.

Os seus sepulcros foram postos no mais interior da cova, e a sua companhia está em redor do seu sepulcro; foram mortos, caíram ã espada todos esses que tinham causado espanto na terra dos viventes.

24 T here Elam, and all her multitude, Round about her grave, All of them wounded, who are falling by sword, Who have gone down uncircumcised unto the earth -- the lower parts, Because they gave their terror in the land of the living, And they bear their shame with those going down to the pit.

Ali está Elão com toda a sua multidão em redor do seu sepulcro; foram mortos, cairam a espada, e desceram incircuncisos

25 I n the midst of the wounded they have appointed a bed for her with all her multitude, Round about him her graves, All of them uncircumcised, pierced of the sword, For their terror was given in the land of the living, And they bear their shame with those going down to the pit, In the midst of the pierced he hath been put.

No meio dos mortos lhe puseram a cama entre toda a sua multidão; ao redor dele estão os seus sepulcros; todos esses incircuncisos foram mortos ã espada; porque causaram terror na terra dos viventes; e levaram a sua vergonha com os que descem ã cova. Está posto no meio dos mortos.

26 T here Meshech, Tubal, and all her multitude, Round about him her graves, All of them uncircumcised, pierced of the sword, For they gave their terror in the land of the living,

Ali estão Meseque, Tubal e toda a sua multidão; ao redor deles estão os seus sepulcros; todos esses incircuncisos foram mortos ã espada; porque causaram terror na terra dos viventes.

27 A nd they lie not with the mighty, Who are falling of the uncircumcised, Who have gone down to sheol with their weapons of war, And they put their swords under their heads, And their iniquities are on their bones, For the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.

E não jazem com os valentes que dentre os incircuncisos caíram, os quais desceram ao Seol com as suas armas de guerra e puseram as suas espadas debaixo das suas cabeças, tendo os seus escudos sobre os seus ossos; porque eram o terror dos poderosos na terra dos viventes.

28 A nd thou, in the midst of the uncircumcised art broken, And dost lie with the pierced of the sword.

Mas tu serás quebrado no meio dos incircuncisos, e jazerás com os que foram mortos a espada.

29 T here Edom, her kings, and all her princes, Who have been given up in their might, With the pierced of the sword, They with the uncircumcised do lie, And with those going down to the pit.

Ali está Edom, os seus reis e todos os seus príncipes, que no seu poder foram postos com os que foram mortos ã espada; estes jazerão com os incircuncisos e com os que descem a cova.

30 T here princes of the north, All of them, and every Zidonian, Who have gone down with the pierced in their terror, Of their might they are ashamed, And they lie uncircumcised with the pierced of the sword, And they bear their shame with those going down to the pit.

Ali estão os príncipes do norte, todos eles, e todos os sidônios, que desceram com os mortos; envergonhados são pelo terror causado pelo seu poder; jazem incircuncisos com os que foram mortos ã espada, e levam a sua vergonha com os que descem ã cova.

31 T hen doth Pharaoh see, And he hath been comforted for all his multitude, The pierced of the sword -- Pharaoh and all his force, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

Faraó os verá, e se consolará sobre toda a sua multidão; sim, o próprio Faraó, e todo o seu exército, traspassados ã espada, diz o Senhor Deus.

32 F or I have given his terror in the land of the living, And he hath been laid down in the midst of the uncircumcised, With the pierced of the sword -- Pharaoh, and all his multitude, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah!'

Pois também eu pus o terror dele na terra dos viventes; pelo que jazerá no meio dos incircuncisos, com os mortos ã espada, o próprio Faraó e toda a sua multidão, diz o Senhor Deus.
