1 A nd there is a word of Jehovah unto me, in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth of the month, saying,

Demais veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, no ano nono, do décimo mês, aos dez do mês, dizendo:

2 ` Son of man, write for thee the name of the day -- this self-same day leaned hath the king of Babylon toward Jerusalem in this self-same day --

Filho do homem, escreve o nome deste dia, deste mesmo dia; o rei de Babilônia acaba de sitiar Jerusalém neste dia.

3 a nd use unto the rebellious house a simile, and thou hast said unto them: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: To set on the pot, to set on, and also to pour into it water,

E propùe ã casa rebelde uma alegoria, e dize-lhe: Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Põe a caldeira ao lume, põe-na, e deita-lhe água dentro;

4 T o gather its pieces unto it, every good piece, Thigh and shoulder, the choice of the bones to fill in.

mete nela os pedaços de carne, todos os bons pedaços, a coxa e a espádua; enche-a de ossos escolhidos.

5 T he choice of the flock to take, And also to pile of the bones under it, Boil it thoroughly, yea, cook its bones in its midst.

Escolhe o melhor do rebanho, ajunta um montão de lenha debaixo da caldeira dos ossos; faze-a ferver bem, e cozam-se dentro dela os seus ossos.

6 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Wo the city of blood, A pot whose scum in it, And its scum hath not come out of it, By piece of it, by piece of it bring it out, Not fallen on it hath a lot.

Portanto, assim diz o Senhor Deus: Ai da cidade sanguinária, da caldeira, que está enferrujada por dentro, e cuja ferrugem não saiu dela! tira dela a carne pedaço por pedaço; não caiu sorte sobre ela;

7 F or her blood in her midst hath been, On a clear place of a rock she hath set it, She hath not poured it on the earth, To cover it over with dust.

porque o seu sangue está no meio dela; sobre uma penha descalvada ela o pôs; não o derramou sobre o chão, para o cobrir com pó.

8 T o cause fury to come up to take vengeance, I have put her blood on a clear place of a rock -- not to be covered.

Foi para fazer subir a minha indignação para tomar vingança, que eu pus o seu sangue numa penha descalvada, para que não fosse coberto.

9 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Wo the city of blood, yea, I -- I make great the pile.

Portanto, assim diz o Senhor Deus: Ai da cidade sanguinária! também eu farei grande a fogueira.

10 M ake abundant the wood, Kindle the fire, consume the flesh, And make the compound, And let the bones be burnt.

Amontoa a lenha, acende o fogo, ferve bem a carne, engrossando o caldo, e sejam queimados os ossos.

11 A nd cause it to stand on its coals empty, So that its brass is hot and burning, Melted hath been in its midst its uncleanness, Consumed is its scum.

Então a porás vazia sobre as suas brasas, para que ela aqueça, e se derreta o seu cobre, e se funda a sua imundícia no meio dela, e se consuma a sua ferrugem.

12 s orrows she hath wearied herself, And the abundance of her scum goeth not out of her, In the fire her scum.

Ela tem-se cansado com trabalhos; contudo não sai dela a sua muita ferrugem pelo fogo.

13 I n thine uncleanness wickedness, Because I have cleansed thee, And thou hast not been cleansed, From thine uncleanness thou art not cleansed again, Till I have caused My fury to rest on thee.

A ferrugem é a tua imundícia de luxúria, porquanto te purifiquei, e tu não te purificaste, não serás purificada nunca da tua imundícia, enquanto eu não tenha satisfeito sobre ti a minha indignação.

14 I , Jehovah, hath spoken, It hath come, and I have done, I do not free, nor do I spare, nor do I repent, According to thy ways, and according to thine acts, they have judged thee, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.'

Eu, o Senhor, o disse: será assim, e o farei; não tornarei atrás, e não pouparei, nem me arrependerei; conforme os teus caminhos, e conforme os teus feitos, te julgarei, diz o Senhor Deus.

15 A nd there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,

Também veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

16 ` Son of man, lo, I am taking from thee the desire of thine eyes by a stroke, and thou dost not mourn, nor weep, nor let thy tear come.

Filho do homem, eis que dum golpe tirarei de ti o desejo dos teus olhos; todavia não te lamentarás, nem chorarás, nem te correrão as lágrimas.

17 C ease to groan, the dead thou dost make no mourning, thy bonnet bind on thee, and thy shoes thou dost put on thy feet, and thou dost not cover over the upper lip, and bread of men thou dost not eat.'

Geme, porém, em silêncio; não faças lamentação pelos mortos; ata na cabeça o teu turbante, e mete nos pés os teus sapatos; não cubras os teus lábios e não comas o pão dos homens.

18 A nd I speak unto the people in the morning, and my wife dieth in the evening, and I do in the morning as I have been commanded.

Assim falei ao povo pela manhã, e ã tarde morreu minha mulher; e fiz pela manhã como se me deu ordem.

19 A nd the people say unto me, `Dost thou not declare to us what these to us, that thou art doing?'

E o povo me perguntou: Não nos farás saber o que significam para nós estas coisas que estás fazendo?

20 A nd I say unto them, `A word of Jehovah hath been unto me, saying:

Então lhes respondi: Veio a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

21 S ay to the house of Israel: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I am polluting My sanctuary, The excellency of your strength, The desire of your eyes, and the pitied of your soul, And your sons and your daughters whom ye have left, by sword they do fall.

Dize ã casa de Israel: Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Eis que eu profanarei o meu santuário, o orgulho do vosso poder, a delícia dos vossos olhos, e o desejo da vossa alma; e vossos filhos e vossas filhas, que deixastes, cairão ã espada.

22 A nd ye have done as I have done, On the upper lip ye are not covered, And bread of men ye do not eat.

Fareis pois como eu fiz: não vos cobrireis os lábios, e não comereis o pão dos homens;

23 A nd your bonnets on your heads, And your shoes on your feet, Ye do not mourn nor do ye weep, And ye have wasted away for your iniquities, And ye have howled one unto another.

tereis na cabeça os vossos turbantes, e os vossos sapatos nos pés; não vos lamentareis, nem chorareis, mas definhar-vos-eis nas vossas iniqüidades, e gemereis uns com os outros.

24 A nd Ezekiel hath been to you for a type, According to all that he hath done ye do; In its coming in -- ye have known that I the Lord Jehovah.

Assim vos servirá Ezequiel de sinal; conforme tudo quanto ele fez, assim fareis vós; e quando isso suceder, então sabereis que eu sou o Senhor Deus.

25 A nd thou, son of man, Is it not in the day of My taking from them their strength, The joy of their beauty, the desire of their eyes, And the song of their soul, Their sons and their daughters?

Também quanto a ti, filho do homem, no dia que eu lhes tirar a sua fortaleza, o gozo do seu ornamento, a delícia dos seus olhos, e o desejo dos seus corações, juntamente com seus filhos e suas filhas,

26 I n that day come doth the escaped one to thee. To cause the ears to hear.

nesse dia virá ter contigo algum fugitivo para te trazer as notícias.

27 I n that day opened is thy mouth with the escaped, And thou speakest, and art not silent any more, And thou hast been to them for a type. And they have known that I Jehovah.'

Nesse dia abrir-se-á a tua boca para com o fugitivo, e falarás, e por mais tempo não ficarás mudo; assim virás a ser para eles um sinal; e saberão que eu sou o Senhor.
