1 I have been inquired of by those who asked not, I have been found by those who sought Me not, I have said, `Behold Me, behold Me,' Unto a nation not calling in My name.

Tornei-me acessível aos que não perguntavam por mim; fui achado daqueles que não me buscavam. A uma nação que não se chamava do meu nome eu disse: Eis-me aqui, eis-me aqui.

2 I have spread out My hands all the day Unto an apostate people, Who are going in the way not good after their own thoughts.

Estendi as minhas mãos o dia todo a um povo rebelde, que anda por um caminho que não é bom, após os seus próprios pensamentos;

3 T he people who are provoking Me to anger, To My face continually, Sacrificing in gardens, and making perfume on the bricks:

povo que de contínuo me provoca diante da minha face, sacrificando em jardins e queimando incenso sobre tijolos;

4 W ho are dwelling among sepulchres, And lodge in reserved places, Who are eating flesh of the sow, And a piece of abominable things -- their vessels.

que se assenta entre as sepulturas, e passa as noites junto aos lugares secretos; que come carne de porco, achando-se caldo de coisas abomináveis nas suas vasilhas;

5 W ho are saying, `Keep to thyself, come not nigh to me, For I have declared thee unholy.' These a smoke in Mine anger, A fire burning all the day.

e que dizem: Retira-te, e não te chegues a mim, porque sou mais santo do que tu. Estes são fumaça no meu nariz, um fogo que arde o dia todo.

6 L o, it is written before Me: `I am not silent, but have recompensed; And I have recompensed into their bosom,

Eis que está escrito diante de mim: Não me calarei, mas eu pagarei, sim, deitar-lhes-ei a recompensa no seu seio;

7 Y our iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, said Jehovah, Who have made perfume on the mountains, And on the heights have reproached Me, And I have measured their former work into their bosom.'

as suas iniqüidades, e juntamente as iniqüidades de seus pais, diz o Senhor, os quais queimaram incenso nos montes, e me afrontaram nos outeiros; pelo que lhes tornarei a medir as suas obras antigas no seu seio.

8 T hus said Jehovah: As the new wine is found in the cluster, And one hath said, `Destroy it not for a blessing in it,' So I do for My servants' sake, not to destroy the whole.

Assim diz o Senhor: Como quando se acha mosto num cacho de uvas, e se diz: Não o desperdices, pois há bênção nele; assim farei por amor de meus servos, para que eu não os destrua a todos.

9 A nd I have brought out from Jacob a seed, And from Judah a possessor of My mount, And possess it do My chosen ones, And My servants do dwell there.

E produzirei descendência a Jacó, e a Judá um herdeiro dos meus montes; e os meus escolhidos herdarão a terra e os meus servos nela habitarão.

10 A nd Sharon hath been for the habitation of a flock, And the valley of Achor for the lying down of a herd, For My people who have sought Me.

E Sarom servirá de pasto de rebanhos, e o vale de Acor de repouso de gado, para o meu povo, que me buscou.

11 A nd ye those forsaking Jehovah, Who are forgetting My holy mountain, Who are setting in array for Gad a table, And who are filling for Meni a mixture.

Mas a vós, os que vos apartais do Senhor, os que vos esqueceis do meu santo monte, os que preparais uma mesa para a fortuna, e que misturais vinho para o Destino

12 A nd I have numbered you for the sword, And all of you for slaughter bow down, Because I called, and ye have not answered, I have spoken, and ye have not hearkened, And ye do the evil thing in Mine eyes, And on that which I desired not -- fixed.

também vos destinarei ã espada, e todos vos encurvareis ã matança; porque quando chamei, não respondestes; quando falei, não ouvistes, mas fizestes o que era mau aos meus olhos, e escolhestes aquilo em que eu não tinha prazer.

13 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, My servants do eat, and ye do hunger, Lo, My servants do drink, and ye do thirst, Lo, My servants rejoice, and ye are ashamed,

Pelo que assim diz o Senhor Deus: Eis que os meus servos comerão, mas vós padecereis fome; eis que os meus servos beberão, mas vós tereis sede; eis que os meus servos se alegrarão, mas vós vos envergonhareis;

14 L o, My servants sing from joy of heart, And ye cry from pain of heart, And from breaking of spirit ye do howl.

eis que os meus servos cantarão pela alegria de coração, mas vós chorareis pela tristeza de coração, e uivareis pela angústia de espírito.

15 A nd ye have left your name For an oath for My chosen ones, And the Lord Jehovah hath put thee to death, And to His servants He giveth another name.

E deixareis o vosso nome para maldição aos meus escolhidos; e vos matará o Senhor Deus, mas a seus servos chamará por outro nome.

16 S o that he who is blessing himself in the earth, Doth bless himself In the God of faithfulness, And he who is swearing in the earth, Doth swear by the God of faithfulness, Because the former distresses have been forgotten, And because they have been hid from Mine eyes.

De sorte que aquele que se bendisser na terra será bendito no Deus da verdade; e aquele que jurar na terra, jurará pelo Deus da verdade; porque já estão esquecidas as angústias passadas, e estão escondidas dos meus olhos.

17 F or, lo, I am creating new heavens, and a new earth, And the former things are not remembered, Nor do they ascend on the heart.

Pois eis que eu crio novos céus e nova terra; e não haverá lembrança das coisas passadas, nem mais se recordarão:

18 B ut joy ye, and rejoice for ever, that I Creator, For, lo, I am creating Jerusalem a rejoicing, And her people a joy.

Mas alegrai-vos e regozijai-vos perpetuamente no que eu crio; porque crio para Jerusalém motivo de exultação e para o seu povo motivo de gozo.

19 A nd I have rejoiced in Jerusalem, And have joyed in My people, And not heard in her any more Is the voice of weeping, and the voice of crying.

E exultarei em Jerusalém, e folgarei no meu povo; e nunca mais se ouvirá nela voz de choro nem voz de clamor.

20 T here is not thence any more a suckling of days, And an aged man who doth not complete his days, For the youth a hundred years old dieth, And the sinner, a hundred years old, is lightly esteemed.

Não haverá mais nela criança de poucos dias, nem velho que não tenha cumprido os seus dias; porque o menino morrerá de cem anos; mas o pecador de cem anos será amaldiçoado.

21 A nd they have built houses, and inhabited, And planted vineyards, and eaten their fruit.

E eles edificarão casas, e as habitarão; e plantarão vinhas, e comerão o fruto delas.

22 T hey do not build, and another inhabit, They do not plant, and another eat, For as the days of a tree the days of My people, And the work of their hands wear out do My chosen ones.

Não edificarão para que outros habitem; não plantarão para que outros comam; porque os dias do meu povo serão como os dias da árvore, e os meus escolhidos gozarão por longo tempo das obras das suas mãos:

23 T hey labour not for a vain thing, Nor do they bring forth for trouble, For the seed of the blessed of Jehovah they, And their offspring with them.

Não trabalharão debalde, nem terão filhos para calamidade; porque serão a descendência dos benditos do Senhor, e os seus descendentes estarão com eles.

24 A nd it hath come to pass, They do not yet call, and I answer, They are yet speaking, and I hear.

E acontecerá que, antes de clamarem eles, eu responderei; e estando eles ainda falando, eu os ouvirei.

25 W olf and lamb do feed as one, And a lion as an ox eateth straw, As to the serpent -- dust its food, They do no evil, nor destroy, In all My holy mountain, said Jehovah!

O lobo e o cordeiro juntos se apascentarão, o leão comerá palha como o boi; e pó será a comida da serpente. Não farão mal nem dano algum em todo o meu santo monte, diz o Senhor.
