1 I have been inquired of by those who asked not, I have been found by those who sought Me not, I have said, `Behold Me, behold Me,' Unto a nation not calling in My name.

“Fiz-me acessível aos que não perguntavam por mim; fui achado pelos que não me procuravam. A uma nação que não clamava pelo meu nome eu disse: Eis-me aqui, eis-me aqui.

2 I have spread out My hands all the day Unto an apostate people, Who are going in the way not good after their own thoughts.

O tempo todo estendi as mãos a um povo obstinado, que anda por um caminho que não é bom, seguindo as suas inclinações;

3 T he people who are provoking Me to anger, To My face continually, Sacrificing in gardens, and making perfume on the bricks:

esse povo que sem cessar me provoca abertamente, oferecendo sacrifícios em jardins e queimando incenso em altares de tijolos;

4 W ho are dwelling among sepulchres, And lodge in reserved places, Who are eating flesh of the sow, And a piece of abominable things -- their vessels.

povo que vive nos túmulos e à noite se oculta nas covas, que come carne de porco, e em suas panelas tem sopa de carne impura;

5 W ho are saying, `Keep to thyself, come not nigh to me, For I have declared thee unholy.' These a smoke in Mine anger, A fire burning all the day.

esse povo diz: ‘Afasta-te! Não te aproximes de mim, pois eu sou santo!’ Essa gente é fumaça no meu nariz! É fogo que queima o tempo todo!

6 L o, it is written before Me: `I am not silent, but have recompensed; And I have recompensed into their bosom,

“Vejam, porém! Escrito está diante de mim: Não ficarei calado, mas lhes darei plena e total retribuição,

7 Y our iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, said Jehovah, Who have made perfume on the mountains, And on the heights have reproached Me, And I have measured their former work into their bosom.'

tanto por seus pecados como pelos pecados dos seus antepassados”, diz o Senhor. “Uma vez que eles queimaram incenso nos montes e me desafiaram nas colinas, eu os farei pagar pelos seus feitos anteriores.”

8 T hus said Jehovah: As the new wine is found in the cluster, And one hath said, `Destroy it not for a blessing in it,' So I do for My servants' sake, not to destroy the whole.

Assim diz o Senhor: “Quando ainda se acha suco num cacho de uvas, os homens dizem: ‘Não o destruam, pois ainda há algo bom’; assim farei em favor dos meus servos; não os destruirei totalmente.

9 A nd I have brought out from Jacob a seed, And from Judah a possessor of My mount, And possess it do My chosen ones, And My servants do dwell there.

Farei surgir descendentes de Jacó, e de Judá quem receba por herança as minhas montanhas. Os meus escolhidos as herdarão, e ali viverão os meus servos.

10 A nd Sharon hath been for the habitation of a flock, And the valley of Achor for the lying down of a herd, For My people who have sought Me.

Para o meu povo que me buscou, Sarom será um pasto para os rebanhos, e o vale de Acor, um lugar de descanso para o gado.

11 A nd ye those forsaking Jehovah, Who are forgetting My holy mountain, Who are setting in array for Gad a table, And who are filling for Meni a mixture.

“Mas vocês, que abandonam o Senhor e esquecem o meu santo monte, que põem a mesa para a deusa Sorte e enchem taças de vinho para o deus Destino,

12 A nd I have numbered you for the sword, And all of you for slaughter bow down, Because I called, and ye have not answered, I have spoken, and ye have not hearkened, And ye do the evil thing in Mine eyes, And on that which I desired not -- fixed.

eu os destinarei à espada, e todos vocês se dobrarão para a degola. Pois eu os chamei, e vocês nem responderam; falei, e não me deram ouvidos. Vocês fizeram o mal diante de mim e escolheram o que me desagrada”.

13 T herefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, My servants do eat, and ye do hunger, Lo, My servants do drink, and ye do thirst, Lo, My servants rejoice, and ye are ashamed,

Portanto, assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: “Os meus servos comerão, e vocês passarão fome; os meus servos beberão, e vocês passarão sede; os meus servos se regozijarão, e vocês passarão vergonha;

14 L o, My servants sing from joy of heart, And ye cry from pain of heart, And from breaking of spirit ye do howl.

os meus servos cantarão com alegria no coração, e vocês se lamentarão com angústia no coração e uivarão pelo quebrantamento de espírito.

15 A nd ye have left your name For an oath for My chosen ones, And the Lord Jehovah hath put thee to death, And to His servants He giveth another name.

Vocês deixarão seu nome como uma maldição para os meus escolhidos; o Soberano, o Senhor, matará vocês, mas aos seus servos dará outro nome.

16 S o that he who is blessing himself in the earth, Doth bless himself In the God of faithfulness, And he who is swearing in the earth, Doth swear by the God of faithfulness, Because the former distresses have been forgotten, And because they have been hid from Mine eyes.

Quem pedir bênção para si na terra, que o faça pelo Deus da verdade; quem fizer juramento na terra, que o faça pelo Deus da verdade. Porquanto as aflições passadas serão esquecidas e estarão ocultas aos meus olhos. Novos Céus e Nova Terra

17 F or, lo, I am creating new heavens, and a new earth, And the former things are not remembered, Nor do they ascend on the heart.

“Pois vejam! Criarei novos céus e nova terra, e as coisas passadas não serão lembradas. Jamais virão à mente!

18 B ut joy ye, and rejoice for ever, that I Creator, For, lo, I am creating Jerusalem a rejoicing, And her people a joy.

Alegrem-se, porém, e regozijem-se para sempre no que vou criar, porque vou criar Jerusalém para regozijo, e seu povo para alegria.

19 A nd I have rejoiced in Jerusalem, And have joyed in My people, And not heard in her any more Is the voice of weeping, and the voice of crying.

Por Jerusalém me regozijarei e em meu povo terei prazer; nunca mais se ouvirão nela voz de pranto e choro de tristeza.

20 T here is not thence any more a suckling of days, And an aged man who doth not complete his days, For the youth a hundred years old dieth, And the sinner, a hundred years old, is lightly esteemed.

“Nunca mais haverá nela uma criança que viva poucos dias, e um idoso que não complete os seus anos de idade; quem morrer aos cem anos ainda será jovem, e quem não chegar aos cem será maldito.

21 A nd they have built houses, and inhabited, And planted vineyards, and eaten their fruit.

Construirão casas e nelas habitarão; plantarão vinhas e comerão do seu fruto.

22 T hey do not build, and another inhabit, They do not plant, and another eat, For as the days of a tree the days of My people, And the work of their hands wear out do My chosen ones.

Já não construirão casas para outros ocuparem, nem plantarão para outros comerem. Pois o meu povo terá vida longa como as árvores; os meus escolhidos esbanjarão o fruto do seu trabalho.

23 T hey labour not for a vain thing, Nor do they bring forth for trouble, For the seed of the blessed of Jehovah they, And their offspring with them.

Não labutarão inutilmente, nem gerarão filhos para a infelicidade; pois serão um povo abençoado pelo Senhor, eles e os seus descendentes.

24 A nd it hath come to pass, They do not yet call, and I answer, They are yet speaking, and I hear.

Antes de clamarem, eu responderei; ainda não estarão falando, e eu os ouvirei.

25 W olf and lamb do feed as one, And a lion as an ox eateth straw, As to the serpent -- dust its food, They do no evil, nor destroy, In all My holy mountain, said Jehovah!

O lobo e o cordeiro comerão juntos, e o leão comerá feno, como o boi, mas o pó será a comida da serpente. Ninguém fará nem mal nem destruição em todo o meu santo monte”, diz o Senhor.
