“Filho do homem, faça um lamento a respeito de Tiro.

3 O dweller on the entrances of the sea, Merchant of the peoples unto many isles, Thus said the Lord Jehovah: O Tyre, thou -- thou hast said: I the perfection of beauty.

Diga a Tiro, que está junto à entrada para o mar, e que negocia com povos de muitos litorais: Assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: “Você diz, ó Tiro: ‘Minha beleza é perfeita’.

4 I n the heart of the seas thy borders, Thy builders have perfected thy beauty.

Seu domínio abrangia o coração dos mares; seus construtores levaram a sua beleza à perfeição.

5 O f firs of Senir they have built to thee all thy double-boarded ships, Of cedars of Lebanon they have taken to make a mast for thee,

Eles fizeram todo o seu madeiramento com pinheiros de Senir; apanharam um cedro do Líbano para fazer-lhe um mastro.

6 O f oaks of Bashan they made thine oars, Thy bench they have made of ivory, A branch of Ashurim from isles of Chittim.

8 I nhabitants of Zidon and Arvad have been rowers to thee, Thy wise men, O Tyre, have been in thee, They thy pilots.

Habitantes de Sidom e Arvade eram os seus remadores; os seus homens hábeis, ó Tiro, estavam a bordo como marinheiros.

9 E lders of Gebal and its wise men have been in thee, Strengthening thy breach; All ships of the sea and their mariners, Have been in thee, to trade thy merchandise.

15 S ons of Dedan thy merchants, Many isles the mart of thy hand, Horns of ivory and ebony they sent back thy reward.

“Os homens de Rodes negociaram com você, e muitas regiões costeiras se tornaram seus clientes; pagaram-lhe suas compras com presas de marfim e com ébano.

16 A ram thy merchant, Because of the abundance of thy works, For emerald, purple, and embroidery, And fine linen, and coral, and agate, They have given out thy remnants.

“Arã negociou com você atraído por seus muitos produtos; em troca de suas mercadorias deu-lhe turquesa, tecido vermelho, trabalhos bordados, linho fino, coral e rubis.

17 J udah and the land of Israel -- they thy merchants, For wheat of Minnith, and Pannag, And honey, and oil, and balm, They have given out thy merchandise.

“Judá e Israel negociaram com você; pelos seus bens trocaram trigo de Minite, confeitos, mel, azeite e bálsamo.

18 D amascus thy merchant, For the abundance of thy works, Because of the abundance of all wealth, For wine of Helbon, and white wool.

19 V edan and Javan go about with thy remnants, They have given shining iron, cassia, and cane, In thy merchandise it hath been.

“Também Dã e Javã, de Uzal, compraram suas mercadorias, trocando-as por ferro, cássia e cálamo.

20 D edan thy merchant, For clothes of freedom for riding.

“Dedã negociou com você mantos de sela.

21 A rabia, and all princes of Kedar, They the traders of thy hand, For lambs, and rams, and he-goats, In these thy merchants.

“A Arábia e todos os príncipes de Quedar eram seus clientes; fizeram negócios com você, fornecendo-lhe cordeiros, carneiros e bodes.

22 M erchants of Sheba and Raamah -- they thy merchants, For the chief of all spices, And for every precious stone, and gold, They have given out thy remnants.

23 H aran, and Canneh, and Eden, merchants of Sheba, Asshur -- Chilmad -- thy merchants,

24 T hey thy merchants for perfect things, For wrappings of blue, and embroidery, And for treasuries of rich apparel, With cords bound and girded, for thy merchandise,

No seu mercado eles negociaram com você lindas roupas, tecido azul, trabalhos bordados e tapetes multicoloridos com cordéis retorcidos e de nós firmes.

25 S hips of Tarshish thy double walls of thy merchandise, And thou art filled and honoured greatly, In the heart of the seas.

“Os navios de Társis transportam os seus bens. Quanta carga pesada você tem no coração do mar.

26 I nto great waters have they brought thee, Those rowing thee, The east wind hath broken thee in the heart of the seas.

Seus remadores a levam para alto mar. Mas o vento oriental a despedaçará no coração do mar.

27 T hy wealth and thy remnants, Thy merchandise, thy mariners, And thy pilots, strengtheners of thy breach, And the traders of thy merchandise, And all thy men of war, who in thee, And in all thine assembly that in thy midst, Fall into the heart of the seas in the day of thy fall,

Sua riqueza, suas mercadorias e seus bens, seus marujos, seus homens do mar e seus construtores de barcos, seus mercadores e todos os seus soldados, todos quantos estão a bordo sucumbirão no coração do mar no dia do seu naufrágio.

28 A t the voice of the cry of thy pilots shake do the suburbs.

29 A nd come down from their ships have all handling an oar, Mariners, all the pilots of the sea, on the land they stand,

30 A nd have sounded for thee with their voice, And cry bitterly, and cause dust to go up on their heads, In ashes they do roll themselves.

31 A nd they have made for thee baldness, And they have girded on sackcloth, And they have wept for thee, In bitterness of soul -- a bitter mourning.

Raparão a cabeça por sua causa e porão vestes de lamento. Chorarão por você com angústia na alma e com pranto amargurado.

32 A nd lifted up for thee have their sons a lamentation, And they have lamented over thee, who as Tyre? As the cut-off one in the midst of the sea?

Quando estiverem gritando e pranteando por você, erguerão este lamento a seu respeito: ‘Quem chegou a ser silenciada como Tiro, cercada pelo mar?’

33 W ith the outgoing of thy remnants from the seas, Thou hast filled many peoples, With the abundance of thy riches, and thy merchandise, Thou hast made rich things of earth.

Quando as suas mercadorias saíam para o mar, você satisfazia muitas nações; com sua grande riqueza e com seus bens você enriqueceu os reis da terra.

34 T he time of being broken by the seas in the depths of the waters, Thy merchandise and all thy assembly in thy midst have fallen.

Agora, destruída pelo mar, você jaz nas profundezas das águas; seus bens e todos os que a acompanham afundaram com você.

35 A ll inhabitants of the isles have been astonished at thee, And their kings have been sore afraid, They have been troubled in countenance.

Todos os que moram nas regiões litorâneas estão chocados com o que aconteceu com você; seus reis arrepiam-se horrorizados e os seus rostos estão desfigurados de medo.

36 M erchants among the peoples have shrieked for thee, Wastes thou hast been, and thou art not -- to the age!'

Os mercadores entre as nações gritam de medo ao vê-la; chegou o seu terrível fim, e você não mais existirá”.
