1 B y David. I confess Thee, with all my heart, Before the gods I do praise Thee.

Eu te louvarei, Senhor, de todo o coração; diante dos deuses cantarei louvores a ti.

2 I bow myself toward Thy holy temple, And I confess Thy name, For Thy kindness, and for Thy truth, For Thou hast made great Thy saying above all Thy name.

Voltado para o teu santo templo eu me prostrarei e renderei graças ao teu nome, por causa do teu amor e da tua fidelidade; pois exaltaste acima de todas as coisas o teu nome e a tua palavra.

3 I n the day I called, when Thou dost answer me, Thou dost strengthen me in my soul strength.

Quando clamei, tu me respondeste; deste-me força e coragem.

4 O Jehovah, all kings of earth confess Thee, When they have heard the sayings of Thy mouth.

Todos os reis da terra te renderão graças, Senhor, pois saberão das tuas promessas.

5 A nd they sing in the ways of Jehovah, For great the honour of Jehovah.

Celebrarão os feitos do Senhor, pois grande é a glória do Senhor!

6 F or high Jehovah, and the lowly He seeth, And the haughty from afar He knoweth.

Embora esteja nas alturas, o Senhor olha para os humildes, e de longe reconhece os arrogantes.

7 I f I walk in the midst of distress Thou quickenest me, Against the anger of mine enemies Thou sendest forth Thy hand, And Thy right hand doth save me.

Ainda que eu passe por angústias, tu me preservas a vida da ira dos meus inimigos; estendes a tua mão direita e me livras.

8 J ehovah doth perfect for me, O Jehovah, Thy kindness to the age, The works of Thy hands let not fall!

O Senhor cumprirá o seu propósito para comigo! Teu amor, Senhor, permanece para sempre; não abandones as obras das tuas mãos!
