1 I will give thee thanks with my whole heart; before the gods will I sing psalms of thee.

Eu te louvarei, Senhor, de todo o coração; diante dos deuses cantarei louvores a ti.

2 I will bow down toward the temple of thy holiness, and celebrate thy name for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth; for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

Voltado para o teu santo templo eu me prostrarei e renderei graças ao teu nome, por causa do teu amor e da tua fidelidade; pois exaltaste acima de todas as coisas o teu nome e a tua palavra.

3 I n the day when I called thou answeredst me; thou didst encourage me with strength in my soul.

Quando clamei, tu me respondeste; deste-me força e coragem.

4 A ll the kings of the earth shall celebrate thee, Jehovah, when they have heard the words of thy mouth;

Todos os reis da terra te renderão graças, Senhor, pois saberão das tuas promessas.

5 A nd they shall sing in the ways of Jehovah, for great is the glory of Jehovah.

Celebrarão os feitos do Senhor, pois grande é a glória do Senhor!

6 F or Jehovah is high; but he looketh upon the lowly, and the proud he knoweth afar off.

Embora esteja nas alturas, o Senhor olha para os humildes, e de longe reconhece os arrogantes.

7 T hough I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou wilt stretch forth thy hand against the anger of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

Ainda que eu passe por angústias, tu me preservas a vida da ira dos meus inimigos; estendes a tua mão direita e me livras.

8 J ehovah will perfect what concerneth me: thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, for ever; forsake not the works of thine own hands.

O Senhor cumprirá o seu propósito para comigo! Teu amor, Senhor, permanece para sempre; não abandones as obras das tuas mãos!
