3 A nd I said to them that the gates of Jerusalem should not be opened until the sun was hot, and that they should shut the doors and bar them while they stood by; and that there should be appointed watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one over against his house.

Eu lhes disse: As portas de Jerusalém não deverão ser abertas enquanto o sol não estiver alto. E antes de deixarem o serviço, os porteiros deverão fechar e travar as portas. 72 A nd that which the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand darics of gold, and two thousand pounds of silver, and sixty-seven priests' coats.

O total dado pelo restante do povo foi de cento e sessenta quilos de ouro, mil e duzentos quilos de prata e 67 vestes para os sacerdotes.

73 A nd the priests, and the Levites, and the doorkeepers, and the singers, and of the people, and the Nethinim, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities. And when the seventh month came, and the children of Israel were in their cities,

Os sacerdotes, os levitas, os porteiros, os cantores e os servidores do templo, e também alguns do povo e os demais israelitas, estabeleceram-se em suas próprias cidades.
