1 T he earth is Jehovah's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

2 F or it was he that founded it upon seas, and established it upon floods.

pois foi ele quem fundou-a sobre os mares e firmou-a sobre as águas.

3 W ho shall ascend into the mount of Jehovah? and who shall stand in his holy place?

Quem poderá subir o monte do Senhor ? Quem poderá entrar no seu Santo Lugar?

4 H e that hath blameless hands and a pure heart; who lifteth not up his soul unto vanity, nor sweareth deceitfully:

Aquele que tem as mãos limpas e o coração puro, que não recorre aos ídolos nem jura por deuses falsos.

5 H e shall receive blessing from Jehovah, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

Ele receberá bênçãos do Senhor, e Deus, o seu Salvador lhe fará justiça.

6 T his is the generation of them that seek unto him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

São assim aqueles que o buscam, que buscam a tua face, ó Deus de Jacó. Pausa

7 L ift up your heads, ye gates, and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.

Abram-se, ó portais; abram-se, ó portas antigas, para que o Rei da glória entre.

8 W ho is this King of glory? Jehovah strong and mighty, Jehovah mighty in battle.

Quem é o Rei da glória? O Senhor forte e valente, o Senhor valente nas guerras.

9 L ift up your heads, ye gates; yea, lift up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.
