1 A nd the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

2 S on of man, say unto the prince of Tyre, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thy heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a god, I sit the seat of God, in the heart of the seas, (and thou art a man, and not God,) and thou settest thy heart as the heart of God:

“Filho do homem, diga ao governante de Tiro: Assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: “No orgulho do seu coração você diz: ‘Sou um deus; sento-me no trono de um deus no coração dos mares’. Mas você é um homem, e não um deus, embora se considere tão sábio quanto Deus.

3 b ehold, thou art wiser than Daniel! nothing secret is obscure for thee;

Você é mais sábio que Daniel ? Não haverá segredo que lhe seja oculto?

4 b y thy wisdom and by thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures;

Mediante a sua sabedoria e o seu entendimento, você granjeou riquezas e acumulou ouro e prata em seus tesouros.

5 b y thy great wisdom thou hast by thy traffic increased thy riches, and thy heart is lifted up because of thy riches.

Por sua grande habilidade comercial você aumentou as suas riquezas e, por causa das suas riquezas, o seu coração ficou cada vez mais orgulhoso.

6 T herefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thou hast set thy heart as the heart of God,

“Por isso, assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: “Porque você pensa que é sábio, tão sábio quanto Deus,

7 t herefore behold, I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall tarnish thy brightness.

trarei estrangeiros contra você, das mais impiedosas nações; eles empunharão suas espadas contra a sua beleza e a sua sabedoria e traspassarão o seu esplendor fulgurante.

8 T hey shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of those that are slain in the heart of the seas.

Eles o farão descer à cova, e você terá morte violenta no coração dos mares.

9 W ilt thou then say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and not God, in the hand of him that pierceth thee.

Dirá você então: ‘Eu sou um deus’ na presença daqueles que o matarem? Você será tão-somente um homem, e não um deus, nas mãos daqueles que o abaterem.

10 T hou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised, by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken, saith the Lord Jehovah.

Você terá a morte dos incircuncisos nas mãos de estrangeiros. Eu falei. Palavra do Soberano, o Senhor ”.

11 A nd the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

Esta palavra do Senhor veio a mim:

12 S on of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyre, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Thou, who sealest up the measure of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty,

“Filho do homem, erga um lamento a respeito do rei de Tiro e diga-lhe: Assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: “Você era o modelo da perfeição, cheio de sabedoria e de perfeita beleza.

13 t hou wast in Eden, the garden of God. Every precious stone was thy covering: the sardius, the topaz, and the diamond, the chrysolite, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the carbuncle, and the emerald, and gold. The workmanship of thy tambours and of thy pipes was in thee: in the day that thou wast created were they prepared.

Você estava no Éden, no jardim de Deus; todas as pedras preciosas o enfeitavam: sárdio, topázio e diamante, berilo, ônix e jaspe, safira, carbúnculo e esmeralda. Seus engastes e guarnições eram feitos de ouro; tudo foi preparado no dia em que você foi criado.

14 T hou wast the anointed covering cherub, and I had set thee: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou didst walk up and down in the midst of stones of fire.

Você foi ungido como um querubim guardião, pois para isso eu o designei. Você estava no monte santo de Deus e caminhava entre as pedras fulgurantes.

15 T hou wast perfect in thy ways, from the day that thou wast created, till unrighteousness was found in thee.

Você era inculpável em seus caminhos desde o dia em que foi criado até que se achou maldade em você.

16 B y the abundance of thy traffic they filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned; therefore have I cast thee as profane from the mountain of God, and have destroyed thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Por meio do seu amplo comércio, você encheu-se de violência e pecou. Por isso eu o lancei, humilhado, para longe do monte de Deus, e o expulsei, ó querubim guardião, do meio das pedras fulgurantes.

17 T hy heart was lifted up because of thy beauty; thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I have cast thee to the ground, I have laid thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

Seu coração tornou-se orgulhoso por causa da sua beleza, e você corrompeu a sua sabedoria por causa do seu esplendor. Por isso eu o atirei à terra; fiz de você um espetáculo para os reis.

18 B y the multitude of thine iniquities, by the unrighteousness of thy traffic, thou hast profaned thy sanctuaries: and I have brought forth a fire out of the midst of thee—it hath consumed thee; and I have brought thee to ashes upon the earth, in the sight of all them that behold thee.

Por meio dos seus muitos pecados e do seu comércio desonesto você profanou os seus santuários. Por isso fiz sair de você um fogo, que o consumiu, e reduzi você a cinzas no chão, à vista de todos os que estavam observando.

19 A ll they that know thee among the peoples shall be amazed at thee: thou art become a terror, and thou shalt never be any more.

Todas as nações que o conheciam espantaram-se ao vê-lo; chegou o seu terrível fim, você não mais existirá”. Profecia contra Sidom

20 A nd the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

Veio a mim esta palavra do Senhor:

21 S on of man, set thy face towards Zidon, and prophesy against it,

“Filho do homem, vire o rosto contra Sidom; profetize contra ela

22 a nd say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, Zidon, and I will be glorified in the midst of thee; and they shall know that I Jehovah, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be hallowed in her.

e diga: Assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: “Estou contra você, Sidom, e manifestarei a minha glória dentro de você. Todos saberão que eu sou o Senhor, quando eu castigá-la e mostrar-me santo em seu meio.

23 A nd I will send into her the pestilence, and blood in her streets; and the wounded shall fall in the midst of her, by the sword upon her on every side: and they shall know that I Jehovah.

Enviarei uma peste sobre você e farei sangue correr em suas ruas. Os mortos cairão, derrubados pela espada que virá de todos os lados contra você. E todos saberão que eu sou o Senhor.

24 A nd there shall be no more a wounding sting for the house of Israel, nor any grieving thorn, among all that were round about them, that despised them: and they shall know that I the Lord Jehovah.

“Israel não terá mais vizinhos maldosos agindo como roseiras bravas dolorosas e espinhos pontudos. Pois eles saberão que eu sou o Soberano, o Senhor.

25 T hus saith the Lord Jehovah: When I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and shall be hallowed in them in the sight of the nations, then shall they dwell in their land which I have given to my servant Jacob.

“Assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: Quando eu reunir Israel dentre as nações nas quais foi espalhado, eu me mostrarei santo entre eles à vista das nações. Então eles viverão em sua própria terra, a qual dei ao meu servo Jacó.

26 T hey shall dwell in it in safety, and shall build houses and plant vineyards; and they shall dwell in safety, when I have executed judgments upon all those that despised them round about them: and they shall know that I Jehovah their God.

Eles viverão ali em segurança, construirão casas e plantarão vinhas; viverão em segurança quando eu castigar todos os seus vizinhos que lhes fizeram mal. Então eles saberão que eu sou o Senhor, o seu Deus”.
