4 A ppointing the number of the stars, To all them He giveth names.

O Senhor sustém o oprimido, mas lança por terra o ímpio.

7 A nswer ye to Jehovah with thanksgiving, Sing ye to our God with a harp.

Cantem ao Senhor com ações de graças; ao som da harpa façam música para o nosso Deus.

8 W ho is covering the heavens with clouds, Who is preparing for the earth rain, Who is causing grass to spring up mountains,

Ele cobre o céu de nuvens, concede chuvas à terra e faz crescer a relva nas colinas.

9 G iving to the beast its food, To the young of the ravens that call.

Ele dá alimento aos animais, e aos filhotes dos corvos quando gritam de fome.

10 N ot in the might of the horse doth He delight, Not in the legs of a man is He pleased.

Não é a força do cavalo que lhe dá satisfação, nem é a agilidade do homem que lhe agrada;

11 J ehovah is pleased with those fearing Him, With those waiting for His kindness.

o Senhor se agrada dos que o temem, dos que colocam sua esperança no seu amor leal.

12 G lorify, O Jerusalem, Jehovah, Praise thy God, O Zion.

Exalte o Senhor, ó Jerusalém! Louve o seu Deus, ó Sião,

13 F or He did strengthen the bars of thy gates, He hath blessed thy sons in thy midst.

pois ele reforçou as trancas de suas portas e abençoou o seu povo, que lá habita.

14 W ho is making thy border peace, the fat of wheat He satisfieth Thee.

É ele que mantém as suas fronteiras em segurança e que a supre do melhor do trigo.

15 W ho is sending forth His saying earth, Very speedily doth His word run.

Ele envia sua ordem à terra, e sua palavra corre veloz.

16 W ho is giving snow like wool, Hoar-frost as ashes He scattereth.

Faz cair a neve como lã, e espalha a geada como cinza.

17 C asting forth His ice like morsels, Before His cold who doth stand?

Faz cair o gelo como se fosse pedra. Quem pode suportar o seu frio?

18 H e sendeth forth His word and melteth them, He causeth His wind to blow -- the waters flow.

Ele envia a sua palavra, e o gelo derrete; envia o seu sopro, e as águas tornam a correr.

19 D eclaring His words to Jacob, His statutes and His judgments to Israel.

Ele revela a sua palavra a Jacó, os seus decretos e ordenanças a Israel.

20 H e hath not done so to any nation, As to judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye Jah!
