Il Signore ricostruisce Gerusalemme, raccoglie i dispersi d’Israele;

3 W ho is giving healing to the broken of heart, And is binding up their griefs.

egli guarisce chi ha il cuore spezzato e fascia le loro piaghe.

4 A ppointing the number of the stars, To all them He giveth names.

Egli conta il numero delle stelle, le chiama tutte per nome.

5 G reat our Lord, and abundant in power, Of His understanding there is no narration.

Grande è il nostro Signore e immenso è il suo potere; la sua intelligenza è infinita.

6 J ehovah is causing the meek to stand, Making low the wicked unto the earth.

Il Signore sostiene gli umili, ma abbassa gli empi fino a terra.

7 A nswer ye to Jehovah with thanksgiving, Sing ye to our God with a harp.

Cantate al Signore inni di lode, salmeggiate con la cetra al nostro Dio,

8 W ho is covering the heavens with clouds, Who is preparing for the earth rain, Who is causing grass to spring up mountains,

che copre il cielo di nuvole, prepara la pioggia per la terra e fa germogliare l’erba sui monti.

9 G iving to the beast its food, To the young of the ravens that call.

Egli dà il cibo al bestiame e ai piccini dei corvi, quando gridano.

10 N ot in the might of the horse doth He delight, Not in the legs of a man is He pleased.

Egli non si compiace del vigore del cavallo, né della forza delle gambe dell’uomo.

11 J ehovah is pleased with those fearing Him, With those waiting for His kindness.

Il Signore si compiace di quelli che lo temono, di quelli che sperano nella sua bontà.

12 G lorify, O Jerusalem, Jehovah, Praise thy God, O Zion.

Celebra il Signore, o Gerusalemme! Loda il tuo Dio, o Sion!

13 F or He did strengthen the bars of thy gates, He hath blessed thy sons in thy midst.

Perché egli ha rinforzato le sbarre delle tue porte, ha benedetto i tuoi figli in mezzo a te.

14 W ho is making thy border peace, the fat of wheat He satisfieth Thee.

Egli mantiene la pace entro i tuoi confini, ti sazia con frumento scelto.

15 W ho is sending forth His saying earth, Very speedily doth His word run.

Egli manda i suoi ordini sulla terra, la sua parola corre velocissima.

16 W ho is giving snow like wool, Hoar-frost as ashes He scattereth.

Egli manda la neve come lana, sparge la brina come cenere.

17 C asting forth His ice like morsels, Before His cold who doth stand?

Egli getta il suo ghiaccio come a pezzi; e chi può resistere al suo freddo?

18 H e sendeth forth His word and melteth them, He causeth His wind to blow -- the waters flow.

Egli manda la sua parola e li fa sciogliere; fa soffiare il suo vento e le acque corrono.

19 D eclaring His words to Jacob, His statutes and His judgments to Israel.

Egli fa conoscere la sua parola a Giacobbe, i suoi statuti e i suoi decreti a Israele.

20 H e hath not done so to any nation, As to judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye Jah!

Egli non ha agito così con tutte le nazioni, e i suoi decreti esse non li conoscono. Alleluia.
