2 a nd they speak unto them in Shiloh, in the land of Canaan, saying, `Jehovah commanded by the hand of Moses to give to us cities to dwell in, and their suburbs for our cattle.'

parlarono loro a Silo, nel paese di Canaan, e dissero: «Il Signore comandò, per mezzo di Mosè, che ci fossero date città da abitare, con le campagne circostanti per il nostro bestiame».

Si tirò a sorte per le famiglie dei Cheatiti; e i figli del sacerdote Aaronne, che erano Leviti, ebbero in sorte tredici città della tribù di Giuda, della tribù di Simeone e della tribù di Beniamino.

5 a nd for the sons of Kohath who are left, out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half of the tribe of Manasseh, by lot ten cities:

Al resto dei figli di Cheat toccarono in sorte dieci città delle famiglie della tribù di Efraim, della tribù di Dan e della mezza tribù di Manasse.

6 A nd for the sons of Gershon, out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, by lot, thirteen cities.

Ai figli di Gherson toccarono in sorte tredici città delle famiglie della tribù d’Issacar, della tribù di Ascer, della tribù di Neftali e della mezza tribù di Manasse in Basan.

7 F or the sons of Merari, for their families,, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

Ai figli di Merari, secondo le loro famiglie, toccarono dodici città della tribù di Ruben, della tribù di Gad e della tribù di Zabulon.

8 A nd the sons of Israel give to the Levites these cities and their suburbs, as Jehovah commanded by the hand of Moses, by lot.

I figli d’Israele diedero dunque in sorte queste città, con le campagne circostanti, ai Leviti, come il Signore aveva comandato per mezzo di Mosè.

9 A nd they give out of the tribe of the sons of Judah, and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, these cities which are called by name;

Diedero cioè, della tribù dei figli di Giuda e della tribù dei figli di Simeone, le città qui menzionate per nome,

10 a nd they are for the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathite, of the sons of Levi, for theirs hath been the first lot;

le quali toccarono ai figli di Aaronne tra le famiglie dei Cheatiti, figli di Levi, perché il primo lotto fu per loro.

11 a nd they give to them the city of Arba father of Anak (it Hebron), in the hill-country of Judah, and its suburbs round about it;

42 T hese cities are each city and its suburbs round about it; so to all these cities.

Ciascuna di queste città aveva la sua campagna tutt’intorno; così era di tutte queste città. Il compimento delle promesse divine

43 A nd Jehovah giveth to Israel the whole of the land which He hath sworn to give to their fathers, and they possess it, and dwell in it;

Il Signore diede dunque a Israele tutto il paese che aveva giurato ai padri di dar loro, e i figli d’Israele ne presero possesso, e vi si stanziarono.

44 a nd Jehovah giveth rest to them round about, according to all that which He hath sworn to their fathers, and there hath not stood a man in their presence of all their enemies, the whole of their enemies hath Jehovah given into their hand;

E il Signore diede loro pace da ogni parte, come aveva giurato ai loro padri; nessuno di tutti i loro nemici potè resistere davanti a loro; il Signore diede loro nelle mani tutti quei nemici.

45 t here hath not fallen a thing of all the good thing which Jehovah spake unto the house of Israel -- the whole hath come.

Di tutte le buone parole che il Signore aveva dette alla casa d’Israele non una cadde a terra: tutte si compirono.
