1 A nd he maketh an altar of brass, twenty cubits its length, and twenty cubits its breadth, and ten cubits its height.

2 A nd he maketh the molten sea; ten by the cubit, from its edge unto its edge, round in compass, and five by the cubit its height, and a line of thirty by the cubit doth compass it, round about.

Fece pure il Mare di metallo fuso, che aveva dieci cubiti da un orlo all’altro; era di forma perfettamente rotonda, aveva cinque cubiti d’altezza, e una corda di trenta cubiti ne misurava la circonferenza.

3 A nd the likeness of oxen under it, all round about encompassing it, ten in the cubit, compassing the sea round about; two rows of oxen are cast in its being cast.

Sotto l’orlo lo circondavano delle figure di buoi, dieci per cubito, facendo tutto il giro del Mare; erano disposti in due file ed erano stati fusi insieme con il Mare.

4 I t is standing on twelve oxen, three facing the north, and three facing the west, and three facing the south, and three facing the east, and the sea upon them above, and all their hinder parts within.

Questo posava su dodici buoi, dei quali tre guardavano a settentrione, tre a occidente, tre a mezzogiorno e tre a oriente; il Mare stava su di essi, e le parti posteriori dei buoi erano vòlte al centro.

5 A nd its thickness a handbreadth, and its lip as the work of the lip of a cup flowered with lilies; taking hold -- baths three thousand it containeth.

Esso aveva lo spessore di un palmo; il suo orlo, fatto come l’orlo di una coppa, aveva la forma di un fiore di giglio; il Mare poteva contenere tremila bati.

6 A nd he maketh ten lavers, and putteth five on the right, and five on the left, to wash with them; the work of the burnt-offering they purge with them; and the sea for priests to wash with.

Fece inoltre dieci conche, e ne pose cinque a destra e cinque a sinistra, perché servissero per le purificazioni; vi si lavava ciò che serviva agli olocausti. Il Mare era destinato alle abluzioni dei sacerdoti.

7 A nd he maketh the ten candlesticks of gold, according to their ordinance, and placeth in the temple, five on the right, and five on the left.

Fece i dieci candelabri d’oro, conformemente alle norme che li concernevano, e li pose nel tempio, cinque a destra e cinque a sinistra.

8 A nd he maketh ten tables, and placeth in the temple, five on the right, and five on the left; and he maketh bowls of gold a hundred.

Fece anche dieci tavole, che pose nel tempio, cinque a destra e cinque a sinistra. E fece cento bacinelle d’oro.

9 A nd he maketh the court of the priests, and the great court, and doors for the court, and their doors he hath overlaid with brass.

Fece pure il cortile dei sacerdoti e il gran cortile con le sue porte, delle quali ricoprì di bronzo i battenti.

10 A nd the sea he hath placed on the right shoulder eastward, over-against the south.

Pose il Mare al lato destro della casa, verso sud-est.

11 A nd Huram maketh the pots, and the shovels, and the bowls, and Huram finisheth to make the work that he made for king Solomon in the house of God;

Curam fece pure i vasi per le ceneri, le palette e le bacinelle. Così Curam compì l’opera che aveva fatta per il re Salomone nella casa di Dio:

12 t wo pillars, and the bowls, and the crowns on the heads of the two pillars, and the two wreaths to cover the two bowls of the crowns that on the heads of the pillars;

le due colonne, le due sfere dei capitelli in cima alle colonne, i due reticolati per coprire le due sfere dei capitelli in cima alle colonne,

13 a nd the pomegranates four hundred to the two wreaths, two rows of pomegranates to the one wreath, to cover the two bowls of the crowns that on the front of the pillars.

le quattrocento melagrane per i due reticolati, a due file di melagrane per ogni reticolato, da coprire le due sfere dei capitelli in cima alle colonne;

14 A nd the bases he hath made; and the lavers he hath made on the bases;

e fece le basi e le conche sulle basi,

15 t he one sea, and the twelve oxen under it,

il Mare, che era unico, i dodici buoi sotto il Mare

16 a nd the pots, and the shovels, and the forks, and all their vessels, hath Huram his father made for king Solomon, for the house of Jehovah, of brass purified.

e i vasi per le ceneri, le palette, i forchettoni e tutti gli accessori. Curam-Abi li fece per il re Salomone, per la casa del Signore, di bronzo tirato a lucido.

17 I n the circuit of the Jordan hath the king cast them, in the thick soil of the ground, between Succoth and Zeredathah.

Il re li fece fondere nella pianura del Giordano, in un suolo argilloso, fra Succot e Sereda.

18 A nd Solomon maketh all these vessels in great abundance, that the weight of the brass hath not been searched out.

Salomone fece tutti questi utensili in così gran quantità che non se ne poté calcolare il peso del bronzo.

19 A nd Solomon maketh all the vessels that the house of God, and the altar of gold, and the tables, and on them bread of the presence;

Salomone fece fabbricare tutti gli arredi della casa di Dio: l’altare d’oro, le tavole sulle quali si mettevano i pani della presentazione;

20 a nd the candlesticks, and their lamps, for their burning according to the ordinance, before the oracle, of gold refined;

i candelabri d’oro puro, con le loro lampade, da accendere, secondo la norma stabilita, davanti al santuario;

21 a nd the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs of gold -- it the perfection of gold;

i fiori, le lampade, gli smoccolatoi, d’oro del più puro;

22 a nd the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and the censers, of gold refined, and the opening of the house, its innermost doors to the holy of holies, and the doors of the house to the temple, of gold.

i coltelli, le bacinelle, le coppe e i bracieri, d’oro puro. Quanto alla porta della casa, i battenti interni, all’ingresso del luogo santissimo, e le porte della casa, all’ingresso del tempio, erano d’oro.
