1 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

Il Signore disse ancora a Mosè:

2 ` Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and they are separated from the holy things of the sons of Israel, and they pollute not My holy name in what they are hallowing to Me; I Jehovah.

«Di’ ad Aaronne e ai suoi figli che si astengano dalle cose sante che mi sono consacrate dai figli d’Israele e non profanino il mio santo nome. Io sono il Signore.

3 ` Say unto them, To your generations, any man who draweth near, out of all your seed, unto the holy things which the sons of Israel do sanctify to Jehovah, and his uncleanness on him -- even that person hath been cut off from before Me; I Jehovah.

Di’ loro: “Qualunque uomo tra i vostri discendenti che nelle future generazioni si avvicinerà, in stato d’impurità, alle cose sante che i figli d’Israele consacrano al Signore, sarà eliminato dalla mia presenza. Io sono il Signore.

4 ` Any man of the seed of Aaron, and is leprous or hath an issue -- of the holy things he doth not eat till that he is clean; and he who is coming against any uncleanness of a person, or a man whose seed of copulation goeth out from him,

Nessun uomo tra i discendenti di Aaronne che sia lebbroso o abbia la gonorrea mangerà le cose sante, finché non sia puro. Lo stesso accadrà a chi avrà toccato una persona impura per contatto con un morto o avrà avuto una perdita di seme genitale,

5 o r a man who cometh against any teeming thing which is unclean to him, or against a man who is unclean to him, even any of his uncleanness --

o a chi avrà toccato un rettile che l’abbia reso impuro o un uomo che gli abbia comunicato un’impurità di qualunque specie.

6 t he person who cometh against it -- hath even been unclean till the evening, and doth not eat of the holy things, but hath bathed his flesh with water,

Chi avrà avuto tali contatti sarà impuro fino a sera e non mangerà le cose sante prima di essersi lavato il corpo con l’acqua;

7 a nd the sun hath gone in, and he hath been clean, and afterwards he doth eat of the holy things, for it his food;

dopo il tramonto del sole sarà puro e potrà poi mangiare le cose sante, perché sono il suo pane.

8 a carcase or torn thing he doth not eat, for uncleanness thereby; I Jehovah.

Il sacerdote non mangerà carne di bestia morta da sé o sbranata, per non rendersi impuro. Io sono il Signore.

9 ` And they have kept My charge, and bear no sin for it, that they have died for it when they pollute it; I Jehovah sanctifying them.

Osserveranno dunque ciò che ho comandato, affinché non portino la pena del loro peccato e muoiano per aver profanato le cose sante. Io sono il Signore che li santifico.

10 ` And no stranger doth eat of the holy thing; a settler of a priest and an hireling doth not eat of the holy thing;

«“Nessun estraneo mangerà le cose sante; nemmeno chi sta da un sacerdote o lavora da lui per un salario mangerà le cose sante.

11 a nd when a priest buyeth a person, the purchase of his money, he doth eat of it, also one born in his house; they do eat of his bread.

Ma lo schiavo che il sacerdote avrà comprato con il suo denaro ne potrà mangiare: così pure quello che gli è nato in casa: questi potranno mangiare il suo pane.

12 ` And a priest's daughter, when she is a strange man's, -- she, of the heave-offering of the holy things doth not eat;

La figlia di un sacerdote sposata fuori dall’ambiente sacerdotale non mangerà le cose sante offerte per elevazione.

13 a nd a priest's daughter, when she is a widow, or cast out, and hath no seed, and hath turned back unto the house of her father, as her youth, of her father's bread she doth eat; but no stranger doth eat of it.

Ma se la figlia del sacerdote è vedova o ripudiata senza figli, se torna a stare da suo padre come quando era giovane, potrà mangiare il pane del padre; ma nessun estraneo ne mangerà.

14 ` And when a man doth eat of a holy thing through ignorance, then he hath added its fifth part to it, and hath given to the priest, with the holy thing;

Se uno mangia per sbaglio una cosa santa, darà al sacerdote il valore della cosa santa aggiungendovi un quinto.

15 a nd they do not pollute the holy things of the sons of Israel -- that which they lift up to Jehovah,

I sacerdoti non profaneranno dunque le cose sante che i figli d’Israele offrono per elevazione al Signore.

16 n or have caused them to bear the iniquity of the guilt-offering in their eating their holy things; for I Jehovah, sanctifying them.'

Non permetteranno che essi mangino le loro cose sante per non farli incorrere in un’ammenda. Io sono il Signore che li santifico”». Leggi relative alle vittime

17 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

Il Signore disse ancora a Mosè:

18 ` Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, Any man of the house of Israel, or of the sojourners in Israel, who bringeth near his offering, of all his vows, or of all his willing offerings which they bring near to Jehovah for a burnt-offering;

«Parla ad Aaronne, ai suoi figli, a tutti i figli d’Israele, e di’ loro: “Chiunque, sia della casa d’Israele o sia straniero in Israele, presenti in olocausto al Signore un’offerta per qualche voto o per qualche dono volontario

19 a t your pleasure a perfect one, a male of the herd, of the sheep or of the goats;

per essere gradito, dovrà offrire un maschio, senza difetto, scelto fra i buoi, fra le pecore o fra le capre.

20 n othing in which blemish do ye bring near, for it is not for a pleasing thing for you.

Non offrirete nulla che abbia qualche difetto, perché non sarebbe gradito.

21 ` And when a man bringeth near a sacrifice of peace-offerings to Jehovah, to complete a vow, or for a willing-offering, of the herd or of the flock, it is perfect for a pleasing thing: no blemish is in it;

Quando uno offrirà al Signore un sacrificio di riconoscenza, di buoi o di pecore, sia per sciogliere un voto, sia come offerta volontaria, la vittima, per essere gradita, dovrà essere perfetta: non dovrà avere difetti.

22 b lind, or broken, or maimed, or having a wen, or scurvy, or scabbed -- ye do not bring these near to Jehovah, and a fire-offering ye do not make of them on the altar to Jehovah.

Non offrirete al Signore una vittima che sia cieca, o storpia, o mutilata, o che abbia delle ulceri, o la rogna, o la scabbia; e non ne farete sull’altare un sacrificio mediante il fuoco al Signore.

23 ` As to an ox or a sheep enlarged or dwarfed -- a willing-offering ye do make it, but for a vow it is not pleasing.

Potrai presentare come offerta volontaria un bue o una pecora che abbia un membro troppo lungo o troppo corto; ma, come offerta per un voto, non sarebbe gradita.

24 A s to a bruised, or beaten, or enlarged, or cut thing -- ye do not bring near to Jehovah; even in your land ye do not do it.

Non offrirete al Signore un animale che abbia i testicoli ammaccati o schiacciati o strappati o tagliati; non lo farete nel vostro paese.

25 A nd from the hand of a son of a stranger ye do not bring near the bread of your God, of any of these, for their corruption in them; blemish in them; they are not pleasing for you.'

Non accetterete dallo straniero nessuna di queste vittime per offrirla come pane del vostro Dio; siccome sono mutilate, difettose, non sarebbero gradite per il vostro bene”».

26 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

Il Signore disse ancora a Mosè:

27 ` When ox or lamb or goat is born, and it hath been seven days under its dam, then from the eighth day and henceforth, it is pleasing for an offering, a fire-offering to Jehovah;

«Quando sarà nato un vitello o un agnello o un capretto, starà sette giorni sotto la madre; dall’ottavo giorno in poi, sarà gradito come sacrificio consumato dal fuoco per il Signore.

28 b ut an ox or sheep -- it and its young one, ye do not slaughter in one day.

Non scannerete in uno stesso giorno una vacca o una pecora e il suo piccolo.

29 ` And when ye sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving to Jehovah, at your pleasure ye do sacrifice,

Quando offrirete al Signore un sacrificio di ringraziamento, l’offrirete in modo da essere graditi.

30 o n that day it is eaten, ye do not leave of it till morning; I Jehovah;

La vittima sarà mangiata il giorno stesso; non ne lascerete nulla fino al mattino. Io sono il Signore.

31 a nd ye have kept my commands, and have done them; I Jehovah;

Osserverete dunque i miei comandamenti e li metterete in pratica. Io sono il Signore.

32 a nd ye do not pollute My holy name, and I have been hallowed in the midst of the sons of Israel; I Jehovah, sanctifying you,

Non profanerete il mio santo nome, affinché io sia santificato in mezzo ai figli d’Israele. Io sono il Signore; io vi santifico

33 w ho am bringing you up out of the land of Egypt, to become your God; I Jehovah.'

e vi ho fatti uscire dal paese d’Egitto per essere vostro Dio. Io sono il Signore ”».
