Si disperdano come acqua che scorre via; possano tirare solo frecce spuntate.

8 A s a snail that melteth he goeth on, an untimely birth of a woman, They have not seen the sun.

Siano come lumaca che si scioglie strisciando; come aborto di donna, non vedano il sole.

9 B efore your pots discern the bramble, As well the raw as the heated He whirleth away.

Prima che le vostre pentole sentano il fuoco del rovo, verde o acceso che sia il legno, lo porti via la bufera.

10 T he righteous rejoiceth that he hath seen vengeance, His steps he washeth in the blood of the wicked.

Il giusto si rallegrerà nel vedere la punizione, si laverà i piedi nel sangue dell’empio,

11 A nd man saith: `Surely fruit for the righteous: Surely there is a God judging in the earth!'

e la gente dirà: «Certo, vi è una ricompensa per il giusto; certo, c’è un Dio che fa giustizia sulla terra!»
