1 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

Il Signore disse ancora a Mosè:

2 ` Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, When a man or woman doeth singularly, by vowing a vow of a Nazarite, to be separate to Jehovah;

«Parla ai figli d’Israele e di’ loro: “Quando un uomo o una donna avrà fatto un voto speciale, il voto di nazireato,

3 f rom wine and strong drink he doth keep separate; vinegar of wine, and vinegar of strong drink he doth not drink, and any juice of grapes he doth not drink, and grapes moist or dry he doth not eat;

per consacrarsi al Signore, si asterrà dal vino e dalle bevande alcoliche; non berrà aceto fatto di vino, né aceto fatto di bevanda alcolica; non berrà liquori d’uva e non mangerà uva, né fresca né secca.

4 a ll days of his separation, of anything which is made of the wine-vine, from kernels even unto husk, he doth not eat.

Per tutto il tempo del suo nazireato non mangerà alcun prodotto della vigna, dagli acini alla buccia.

5 ` All days of the vow of his separation a razor doth not pass over his head; till the fulness of the days which he doth separate to Jehovah he is holy; grown up hath the upper part of the hair of his head.

Per tutto il tempo del suo voto di nazireato il rasoio non passerà sul suo capo; fino a che siano compiuti i giorni per i quali egli si è consacrato al Signore, sarà santo; si lascerà crescere liberamente i capelli sul capo.

6 ` All days of his keeping separate to Jehovah, near a dead person he doth not go;

Per tutto il tempo che egli si è consacrato al Signore, non si avvicinerà a un corpo morto;

7 f or his father, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister -- he is not unclean for them at their death, for the separation of his God on his head;

si trattasse anche di suo padre, di sua madre, di suo fratello e di sua sorella, non si contaminerà con loro alla loro morte, perché porta sul capo il segno della sua consacrazione a Dio.

8 a ll days of his separation he holy to Jehovah.

Per tutto il tempo del suo nazireato egli è consacrato al Signore.

9 ` And when the dead dieth beside him in an instant, suddenly, and he hath defiled the head of his separation, then he hath shaved his head in the day of his cleansing; on the seventh day he doth shave it,

Se uno gli muore accanto improvvisamente e il suo capo consacrato rimane così contaminato, si raderà il capo il giorno della sua purificazione; se lo raderà il settimo giorno;

10 a nd on the eighth day he bringeth in two turtle-doves or two young pigeons unto the priest, unto the opening of the tent of meeting,

l’ottavo giorno porterà due tortore o due giovani piccioni al sacerdote, all’ingresso della tenda di convegno.

11 a nd the priest hath prepared one for a sin-offering, and one for a burnt-offering, and hath made atonement for him, because of that which he hath sinned by the body, and he hath hallowed his head on that day;

Il sacerdote ne offrirà uno come sacrificio per il peccato e l’altro come olocausto, farà per lui l’espiazione del peccato che ha commesso a motivo di quel morto; in quel giorno stesso il nazireo consacrerà così il suo capo.

12 a nd he hath separated to Jehovah the days of his separation, and he hath brought in a lamb, a son of a year, for a guilt-offering, and the former days are fallen, for his separation hath been defiled.

Consacrerà di nuovo al Signore i giorni del suo nazireato e offrirà un agnello dell’anno come sacrificio di riparazione; i giorni precedenti non saranno contati, perché il suo nazireato è stato contaminato.

13 ` And this the law of the Nazarite; in the day of the fulness of the days of his separation doth bring him in unto the opening of the tent of meeting,

«“Questa è la legge del nazireato: quando i giorni del suo nazireato saranno compiuti, lo si farà venire all’ingresso della tenda di convegno.

14 a nd he hath brought near his offering to Jehovah, one he-lamb, a son of a year, a perfect one, for a burnt-offering, and one she-lamb, a daughter of a year, a perfect one, for a sin-offering, and one ram, a perfect one, for peace-offerings,

Egli presenterà la sua offerta al Signore: un agnello dell’anno, senza difetto, per l’olocausto; una pecora dell’anno, senza difetto, per il sacrificio per il peccato, e un montone, senza difetto, per il sacrificio di riconoscenza;

15 a nd a basket of unleavened things of flour, cakes mixed with oil, and thin cakes of unleavened things anointed with oil, and their present, and their libations.

un paniere di pani azzimi fatti con fior di farina, di focacce intrise d’olio, di gallette azzime unte d’olio, insieme con l’oblazione e le libazioni relative.

16 ` And the priest hath brought near before Jehovah, and hath made his sin-offering and his burnt-offering;

Il sacerdote presenterà quelle cose davanti al Signore, offrirà il suo sacrificio per il peccato e il suo olocausto;

17 a nd the ram he maketh a sacrifice of peace-offerings to Jehovah, besides the basket of unleavened things; and the priest hath made its present and its libation.

offrirà il montone come sacrificio di riconoscenza al Signore, con il paniere dei pani azzimi; il sacerdote offrirà pure l’oblazione e la libazione.

18 ` And the Nazarite hath shaved (at the opening of the tent of meeting) the head of his separation, and hath taken the hair of the head of his separation, and hath put on the fire which under the sacrifice of the peace-offerings.

Il nazireo si raderà il capo consacrato all’ingresso della tenda di convegno, prenderà i capelli del suo capo consacrato e li metterà sul fuoco che è sotto il sacrificio di riconoscenza.

19 ` And the priest hath taken the boiled shoulder from the ram, and one unleavened cake out of the basket, and one thin unleavened cake, and hath put on the palms of the Nazarite after his shaving his separation;

Il sacerdote prenderà la spalla del montone, quando sarà cotta, una focaccia azzima dal paniere, una galletta azzima, e le metterà nelle mani del nazireo, dopo che questi avrà raso il suo capo consacrato.

20 a nd the priest hath waved them, a wave-offering before Jehovah; it holy to the priest, besides the breast of the wave-offering, and besides the leg of the heave-offering; and afterwards doth the Nazarite drink wine.

Il sacerdote le agiterà, come offerta agitata, davanti al Signore; è cosa santa che appartiene al sacerdote, insieme al petto dell’offerta agitata e alla spalla dell’offerta elevata. Dopo questo, il nazireo potrà bere vino.

21 ` This the law of the Nazarite, who voweth his offering to Jehovah for his separation, apart from that which his hand attaineth; according to his vow which he voweth so he doth by the law of his separation.'

Tale è la legge relativa a colui che ha fatto voto di nazireato, tale è la sua offerta al Signore per il suo nazireato, oltre a quello che i suoi mezzi gli permetteranno di fare. Egli agirà secondo il voto che avrà fatto, conformemente alla legge del suo nazireato”». Formula della benedizione sacerdotale

22 A nd Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

Il Signore disse ancora a Mosè:

23 ` Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, saying, Thus ye do bless the sons of Israel, saying to them,

«Parla ad Aaronne e ai suoi figli e di’ loro: “Voi benedirete così i figli d’Israele; direte loro:

24 ` Jehovah bless thee and keep thee;

‘Il Signore ti benedica e ti protegga!

25 ` Jehovah cause His face to shine upon thee, and favour thee;

Il Signore faccia risplendere il suo volto su di te e ti sia propizio!

26 ` Jehovah lift up His countenance upon thee, and appoint for thee -- peace.

Il Signore rivolga verso di te il suo volto e ti dia la pace!’”.

27 ` And they have put My name upon the sons of Israel, and I -- I do bless them.'

Così metteranno il mio nome sui figli d’Israele e io li benedirò».
