1 I capifamiglia dei Leviti si avvicinarono al sacerdote Eleazar, a Giosuè, figlio di Nun, e ai capifamiglia delle tribù dei figli d’Israele,

And the heads of the fathers of the Levites draw nigh unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel,

2 p arlarono loro a Silo, nel paese di Canaan, e dissero: «Il Signore comandò, per mezzo di Mosè, che ci fossero date città da abitare, con le campagne circostanti per il nostro bestiame».

and they speak unto them in Shiloh, in the land of Canaan, saying, `Jehovah commanded by the hand of Moses to give to us cities to dwell in, and their suburbs for our cattle.'

3 A llora i figli d’Israele diedero ai Leviti, dalla loro eredità, le seguenti città con le campagne circostanti, secondo il comandamento del Signore.

And the sons of Israel give to the Levites, out of their inheritance, at the command of Jehovah, these cities and their suburbs:

4 S i tirò a sorte per le famiglie dei Cheatiti; e i figli del sacerdote Aaronne, che erano Leviti, ebbero in sorte tredici città della tribù di Giuda, della tribù di Simeone e della tribù di Beniamino.

And the lot goeth out for the families of the Kohathite, and there are for the sons of Aaron the priest (of the Levites), out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, by lot thirteen cities,

5 A l resto dei figli di Cheat toccarono in sorte dieci città delle famiglie della tribù di Efraim, della tribù di Dan e della mezza tribù di Manasse.

and for the sons of Kohath who are left, out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half of the tribe of Manasseh, by lot ten cities:

6 A i figli di Gherson toccarono in sorte tredici città delle famiglie della tribù d’Issacar, della tribù di Ascer, della tribù di Neftali e della mezza tribù di Manasse in Basan.

And for the sons of Gershon, out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, by lot, thirteen cities.

7 A i figli di Merari, secondo le loro famiglie, toccarono dodici città della tribù di Ruben, della tribù di Gad e della tribù di Zabulon.

For the sons of Merari, for their families,, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

8 I figli d’Israele diedero dunque in sorte queste città, con le campagne circostanti, ai Leviti, come il Signore aveva comandato per mezzo di Mosè.

And the sons of Israel give to the Levites these cities and their suburbs, as Jehovah commanded by the hand of Moses, by lot.

9 D iedero cioè, della tribù dei figli di Giuda e della tribù dei figli di Simeone, le città qui menzionate per nome,

And they give out of the tribe of the sons of Judah, and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, these cities which are called by name;

10 l e quali toccarono ai figli di Aaronne tra le famiglie dei Cheatiti, figli di Levi, perché il primo lotto fu per loro.

and they are for the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathite, of the sons of Levi, for theirs hath been the first lot;

11 F urono dunque date loro Chiriat-Arba, cioè Ebron (Arba era il padre di Anac) nella regione montuosa di Giuda, con la campagna circostante;

and they give to them the city of Arba father of Anak (it Hebron), in the hill-country of Judah, and its suburbs round about it;

12 m a diedero il territorio della città e i suoi villaggi come possesso a Caleb, figlio di Gefunne.

and the field of the city and its villages they have given to Caleb son of Jephunneh for his possession.

13 E diedero ai figli del sacerdote Aaronne la città di rifugio per l’omicida, Ebron e la campagna circostante; poi Libna e la campagna circostante,

And to the sons of Aaron the priest they have given the city of refuge the man-slayer, Hebron and its suburbs, and Libnah and its suburbs,

14 I attir e la sua campagna circostante, Estemoa e la sua campagna circostante,

and Jattir and its suburbs, and Eshtemoa and its suburbs,

15 C olon e la sua campagna circostante, Debir e la sua campagna circostante,

and Holon and its suburbs, and Debir and its suburbs,

16 A in e la sua campagna circostante, Iutta e la sua campagna circostante, e Bet-Semes e la sua campagna circostante: nove città di queste due tribù.

and Ain and its suburbs, and Juttah and its suburbs, Beth-Shemesh and its suburbs; nine cities out of these two tribes.

17 E della tribù di Beniamino: Gabaon e la sua campagna circostante, Gheba e la sua campagna circostante,

And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon and its suburbs, Geba and its suburbs,

18 A natot e la sua campagna circostante, e Almon e la sua campagna circostante: quattro città.

Anathoth and its suburbs, and Almon and its suburbs -- four cities;

19 T otale delle città dei sacerdoti figli di Aaronne: tredici città e le loro campagne circostanti.

all the cities of the sons of Aaron the priests, thirteen cities and their suburbs.

20 A lle famiglie dei figli di Cheat, cioè al rimanente dei Leviti, figli di Cheat, toccarono delle città della tribù di Efraim.

And for the families of the sons of Kohath, the Levites, who are left of the sons of Kohath, even the cities of their lot are of the tribe of Ephraim;

21 F u loro data la città di rifugio per l’omicida, Sichem, con la sua campagna circostante, nella regione montuosa di Efraim; poi Ghezer e la sua campagna circostante,

and they give to them the city of refuge the man-slayer, Shechem and its suburbs, in the hill-country of Ephraim, and Gezer and its suburbs,

and Kibzaim and its suburbs, and Beth-Horon and its suburbs -- four cities.

And out of the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh and its suburbs, Gibbethon and its suburbs,

24 A ialon e la sua campagna circostante, Gat-Rimmon e la sua campagna circostante: quattro città.

Aijalon and its suburbs, Gath-Rimmon and its suburbs -- four cities.

25 D ella mezza tribù di Manasse: Tanac e la sua campagna circostante, Gat-Rimmon e la sua campagna circostante: due città.

And out of the half of the tribe of Manasseh, Taanach and its suburbs, and Gath-Rimmon and its suburbs -- two cities;

26 T otale: dieci città con le loro campagne circostanti, che toccarono alle famiglie degli altri figli di Cheat.

all the cities ten and their suburbs, for the families of the sons of Kohath who are left.

And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishon and its suburbs, Dabarath and its suburbs,

29 I armut e la sua campagna circostante, En-Gannim e la sua campagna circostante: quattro città;

Jarmuth and its suburbs, En-Gannim and its suburbs -- four cities.

And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal and its suburbs, Abdon and its suburbs,

32 e della tribù di Neftali, la città di rifugio per l’omicida, Chedes in Galilea e la sua campagna circostante, Cammot-Dor e la sua campagna circostante, e Cartan e la sua campagna circostante: tre città.

And out of the tribe of Naphtali, the city of refuge the man-slayer, Kedesh in Galilee and its suburbs, and Hammoth-Dor and its suburbs, and Kartan and its suburbs -- three cities;

33 T otale delle città dei Ghersoniti, secondo le loro famiglie: tredici città e le loro campagne circostanti.

all the cities of the Gershonite, for their families, thirteen cities and their suburbs.

34 E alle famiglie dei figli di Merari, cioè al rimanente dei Leviti, furono date: della tribù di Zabulon, Iocneam e la sua campagna circostante, Carta e la sua campagna circostante,

And for the families of the sons of Merari, the Levites, who are left, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam and its suburbs, Kartah and its suburbs,

35 D imna e la sua campagna circostante, e Naalal e la sua campagna circostante: quattro città;

Dimnah and its suburbs, Nahalal and its suburbs -- four cities.

36 d ella tribù di Ruben, Beser e la sua campagna circostante, Iasa e la sua campagna circostante,

37 C hedemot e la sua campagna circostante e Mefaat e la sua campagna circostante: quattro città;

Kedemoth and its suburbs, and Mephaath and its suburbs -- four cities.

38 e della tribù di Gad, la città di rifugio per l’omicida, Ramot in Galaad e la sua campagna circostante, Maanaim e la sua campagna circostante,

And out of the tribe of Gad, the city of refuge the man-slayer, Ramoth in Gilead and its suburbs, and Mahanaim and its suburbs,

39 C hesbon e la sua campagna circostante, e Iaezer e la sua campagna circostante: in tutto quattro città.

Heshbon and its suburbs, Jazer and its suburbs -- all four cities.

40 T otale delle città date in sorte ai figli di Merari, secondo le loro famiglie, formanti il resto delle famiglie dei Leviti: dodici città.

All the cities for the sons of Merari, for their families, who are left of the families of the Levites -- their lot is twelve cities.

41 T otale delle città dei Leviti in mezzo alle proprietà dei figli d’Israele: quarantotto città e le loro campagne circostanti.

All the cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the sons of Israel forty and eight cities, and their suburbs.

42 C iascuna di queste città aveva la sua campagna tutt’intorno; così era di tutte queste città. Il compimento delle promesse divine

These cities are each city and its suburbs round about it; so to all these cities.

43 I l Signore diede dunque a Israele tutto il paese che aveva giurato ai padri di dar loro, e i figli d’Israele ne presero possesso, e vi si stanziarono.

And Jehovah giveth to Israel the whole of the land which He hath sworn to give to their fathers, and they possess it, and dwell in it;

44 E il Signore diede loro pace da ogni parte, come aveva giurato ai loro padri; nessuno di tutti i loro nemici potè resistere davanti a loro; il Signore diede loro nelle mani tutti quei nemici.

and Jehovah giveth rest to them round about, according to all that which He hath sworn to their fathers, and there hath not stood a man in their presence of all their enemies, the whole of their enemies hath Jehovah given into their hand;

45 D i tutte le buone parole che il Signore aveva dette alla casa d’Israele non una cadde a terra: tutte si compirono.

there hath not fallen a thing of all the good thing which Jehovah spake unto the house of Israel -- the whole hath come.
