And these births of Aaron and Moses, in the day of Jehovah's speaking with Moses in mount Sinai.

2 Q uesti sono i nomi dei figli di Aaronne: Nadab, il primogenito, Abiu, Eleazar e Itamar.

And these the names of the sons of Aaron: the first-born Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar;

3 Q uesti sono i nomi dei figli di Aaronne, che ricevettero l’unzione come sacerdoti e furono consacrati per esercitare il sacerdozio.

these the names of the sons of Aaron, the anointed priests, whose hand he hath consecrated for acting as priest.

4 N adab e Abiu morirono davanti al Signore quando gli offrirono fuoco estraneo, nel deserto del Sinai. Essi non avevano figli, ed Eleazar e Itamar esercitarono il sacerdozio in presenza di Aaronne, loro padre.

And Nadab dieth -- Abihu also -- before Jehovah, in their bringing near strange fire before Jehovah, in the wilderness of Sinai, and sons they had not; and Eleazar -- Ithamar also -- acteth as priest in the presence of Aaron their father.

5 I l Signore disse a Mosè:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

6 « Fa’ avvicinare la tribù di Levi e mettila a disposizione del sacerdote Aaronne, affinché sia al suo servizio.

`Bring near the tribe of Levi, and thou hast caused it to stand before Aaron the priest, and they have served him,

7 E ssi avranno la cura di tutto ciò che è affidato a lui e a tutta la comunità davanti alla tenda di convegno e faranno così il servizio del tabernacolo.

and kept his charge, and the charge of all the company before the tent of meeting, to do the service of the tabernacle;

8 A vranno cura di tutti gli utensili della tenda di convegno e di quanto è affidato ai figli d’Israele, e faranno così il servizio del tabernacolo.

and they have kept all the vessels of the tent of meeting, and the charge of the sons of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle;

9 T u darai i Leviti ad Aaronne e ai suoi figli; tra i figli d’Israele sono essi quelli che si dedicheranno completamente al suo servizio.

and thou hast given the Levites to Aaron and to his sons; they are surely given to him out of the sons of Israel.

10 T u stabilirai Aaronne e i suoi figli, perché esercitino le funzioni del loro sacerdozio; l’estraneo che si accosterà all’altare sarà messo a morte».

`And Aaron and his sons thou dost appoint, and they have kept their priesthood, and the stranger who cometh near is put to death.'

11 I l Signore disse a Mosè:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

12 « Ecco, tra i figli d’Israele io ho preso i Leviti al posto di ogni primogenito che nasce da donna israelita; i Leviti saranno miei;

`And I, lo, I have taken the Levites from the midst of the sons of Israel instead of every first-born opening a womb among the sons of Israel, and the Levites have been Mine;

13 p oiché ogni primogenito è mio; il giorno in cui colpii tutti i primogeniti nel paese d’Egitto, io mi consacrai tutti i primi parti in Israele, tanto degli uomini quanto degli animali; saranno miei: io sono il Signore ».

for Mine every first-born, in the day of My smiting every first-born in the land of Egypt I have sanctified to Myself every first-born in Israel, from man unto beast; Mine they are; I Jehovah.'

14 I l Signore parlò a Mosè nel deserto del Sinai e disse:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying,

15 « Fa’ il censimento dei figli di Levi secondo la discendenza paterna, secondo le loro famiglie; farai il censimento di tutti i maschi dall’età di un mese in su».

`Number the sons of Levi by the house of their fathers, by their families; every male from a son of a month and upward thou dost number them.'

16 E Mosè ne fece il censimento secondo l’ordine del Signore, come gli era stato comandato di fare.

And Moses numbereth them according to the command of Jehovah, as he hath been commanded.

17 Q uesti sono i nomi dei figli di Levi: Gherson, Cheat e Merari.

And these are sons of Levi by their names: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari.

18 Q uesti sono i nomi dei figli di Gherson, secondo le loro famiglie: Libni e Simei.

And these the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shimei.

19 I figli di Cheat, secondo le loro famiglie, sono: Amram, Isear, Ebron e Uzziel.

And the sons of Kohath, by their families, Amram and Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel.

20 I figli di Merari, secondo le loro famiglie, sono: Mali e Musi. Queste sono le famiglie dei Leviti, secondo la discendenza paterna.

And the sons of Merari by their families Mahli and Mushi; these are the families of the Levites, by the house of their fathers.

21 D a Gherson discendono la famiglia dei Libniti e la famiglia dei Simeiti, che formano le famiglie dei Ghersoniti.

Of Gershon the family of the Libnite, and the family of the Shimite; these are the families of the Gershonite.

22 Q uelli dei quali fu fatto il censimento, contando tutti i maschi dall’età di un mese in su, furono settemilacinquecento.

Their numbered ones, in number, every male from a son of a month and upward, their numbered ones seven thousand and five hundred.

23 L e famiglie dei Ghersoniti avevano il campo dietro il tabernacolo, a occidente.

The families of the Gershonite, behind the tabernacle, do encamp westward.

24 I l capo della famiglia dei Ghersoniti era Eliasaf, figlio di Lael.

And the prince of a father's house for the Gershonite Eliasaph son of Lael.

25 P er quel che concerne la tenda di convegno, i figli di Gherson dovevano aver cura del tabernacolo e della tenda, della sua coperta, della portiera all’ingresso della tenda di convegno,

And the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tent of meeting the tabernacle, and the tent, its covering, and the vail at the opening of the tent of meeting,

26 d elle tele del cortile e della portiera dell’ingresso del cortile, tutto intorno al tabernacolo e all’altare, e dei suoi cordami per tutto il servizio del tabernacolo.

and the hangings of the court, and the vail at the opening of the court, which by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and its cords, to all its service.

27 D a Cheat discendono la famiglia degli Amramiti, la famiglia degli Iseariti, la famiglia degli Ebroniti e la famiglia degli Uzzieliti, che formano le famiglie dei Cheatiti.

And of Kohath the family of the Amramite, and the family of the Izharite, and the family of the Hebronite, and the family of the Uzzielite; these are families of the Kohathite.

28 C ontando tutti i maschi dall’età di un mese in su, furono ottomilaseicento, incaricati della cura del santuario.

In number, all the males, from a son of a month and upward, eight thousand and six hundred, keeping the charge of the sanctuary.

29 L e famiglie dei figli di Cheat avevano il campo al lato meridionale del tabernacolo.

The families of the sons of Kohath encamp by the side of the tabernacle southward.

30 I l capo della famiglia dei Cheatiti era Elisafan, figlio di Uzziel.

And the prince of a father's house for the families of the Kohathite Elizaphan son of Uzziel.

31 A lle loro cure erano affidati l’arca, la tavola, il candelabro, gli altari e gli utensili del santuario con i quali si fa il servizio, il velo e tutto ciò che si riferisce al servizio del santuario.

And their charge the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary with which they serve, and the vail, and all its service.

32 I l primo dei capi dei Leviti era Eleazar, figlio del sacerdote Aaronne; egli aveva la sorveglianza di quelli che erano incaricati della cura del santuario.

And the prince of the princes of the Levites, Eleazar son of Aaron the priest, the oversight of the keepers of the charge of the sanctuary.

33 D a Merari discendono la famiglia dei Maliti e la famiglia dei Musiti, che formano le famiglie di Merari.

Of Merari the family of the Mahlite, and the family of the Mushite; these the families of Merari.

34 Q uelli di cui si fece il censimento, contando tutti i maschi dall’età di un mese in su, furono seimiladuecento.

And their numbered ones, in number, all the males from a son of a month and upward, six thousand and two hundred.

35 I l capo delle famiglie discendenti da Merari era Suriel, figlio di Abiail. Essi avevano il campo al lato settentrionale del tabernacolo.

And the prince of a father's house for the families of Merari Zuriel son of Abihail; by the side of the tabernacle they encamp northward.

36 A lle cure dei figli di Merari furono affidati le assi del tabernacolo, le sue traverse, le sue colonne e le loro basi, tutti i suoi utensili e tutto ciò che si riferisce al servizio del tabernacolo,

And the oversight -- the charge of the sons of Merari -- the boards of the tabernacle, and its bars, and its pillars, and its sockets, and all its vessels, and all its service,

37 l e colonne del cortile tutto intorno, le loro basi, i loro picchetti e il loro cordame.

and the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords.

38 S ul davanti del tabernacolo, a oriente, di fronte alla tenda di convegno, verso il sol levante, avevano l’accampamento Mosè, Aaronne e i suoi figli; essi avevano la cura del santuario per i figli d’Israele; l’estraneo che vi si fosse accostato sarebbe stato messo a morte.

And those encamping before the tabernacle eastward, before the tent of meeting, at the east, Moses and Aaron, and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the sons of Israel, and the stranger who cometh near is put to death.

39 T utti i Leviti di cui Mosè e Aaronne fecero il censimento secondo le loro famiglie per ordine del Signore, tutti i maschi dall’età di un mese in su, furono ventiduemila. Riscatto dei primogeniti

All those numbered of the Levites whom Moses numbered -- Aaron also -- by the command of Jehovah, by their families, every male from a son of a month and upward, two and twenty thousand.

40 I l Signore disse a Mosè: «Fa’ il censimento di tutti i primogeniti maschi tra i figli d’Israele dall’età di un mese in su e fa’ il conto dei loro nomi.

And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Number every first-born male of the sons of Israel from a son of a month and upward, and take up the number of their names;

41 P renderai i Leviti per me, io sono il Signore, invece di tutti i primogeniti dei figli d’Israele, e il bestiame dei Leviti al posto dei primi parti del bestiame degli Israeliti».

and thou hast taken the Levites for Me (I Jehovah), instead of every first-born among the sons of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of every firstling among the cattle of the sons of Israel.'

42 M osè fece il censimento di tutti i primogeniti tra i figli d’Israele, secondo l’ordine che il Signore gli aveva dato.

And Moses numbereth, as Jehovah hath commanded him, all the first-born among the sons of Israel.

43 T utti i primogeniti maschi di cui si fece il censimento, contando i nomi dall’età di un mese in su, furono ventiduemiladuecentosettantatré.

And all the first-born -- male -- by the number of names, from a son of a month and upward, of their numbered ones, are two and twenty thousand two hundred and seventy and three.

44 I l Signore disse a Mosè:

And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

45 « Prendi i Leviti al posto di tutti i primogeniti dei figli d’Israele e il bestiame dei Leviti al posto del loro bestiame; i Leviti saranno miei. Io sono il Signore.

`Take the Levites instead of every first-born among the sons of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites have been Mine; I Jehovah.

46 P er il riscatto dei duecentosettantatré primogeniti dei figli d’Israele che superano il numero dei Leviti,

`And those ransomed of the two hundred and seventy and three (who are more than the Levites) of the first-born of the sons of Israel,

47 p renderai cinque sicli a testa; li prenderai secondo il siclo del santuario, che è di venti ghere.

thou hast even taken five shekels a-piece by the poll -- by the shekel of the sanctuary thou takest; twenty gerahs the shekel;

48 D arai il denaro ad Aaronne e ai suoi figli per il riscatto di quelli che superano il numero dei Leviti».

and thou hast given the money to Aaron, and to his sons, whereby those over and above are ransomed.'

49 M osè prese il denaro per il riscatto di quelli che superavano il numero dei primogeniti riscattati dai Leviti;

And Moses taketh the ransom money from those over and above those ransomed by the Levites;

50 p rese il denaro dai primogeniti dei figli d’Israele: milletrecentosessantacinque sicli, secondo il siclo del santuario.

from the first-born of the sons of Israel he hath taken the money, a thousand and three hundred and sixty and five -- by the shekel of the sanctuary;

51 M osè diede il denaro del riscatto ad Aaronne e ai suoi figli, secondo l’ordine del Signore, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.

and Moses giveth the money of those ransomed to Aaron, and to his sons, according to the command of Jehovah, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.
