Inclina os teus ouvidos, ó Senhor, e responde-me, pois sou pobre e necessitado.

2 K eep my soul, for I pious, Save Thy servant -- who is trusting to Thee, O Thou, my God.

Guarda a minha vida, pois sou fiel a ti. Tu és o meu Deus; salva o teu servo que em ti confia!

3 F avour me, O Lord, for to Thee I call all the day.

Misericórdia, Senhor, pois clamo a ti sem cessar.

4 R ejoice the soul of Thy servant, For unto Thee, O Lord, my soul I lift up.

Alegra o coração do teu servo, pois a ti, Senhor, elevo a minha alma.

5 F or Thou, Lord, good and forgiving. And abundant in kindness to all calling Thee.

Tu és bondoso e perdoador, Senhor, rico em graça para com todos os que te invocam.

6 H ear, O Jehovah, my prayer, And attend to the voice of my supplications.

Escuta a minha oração, Senhor; atenta para a minha súplica!

7 I n a day of my distress I call Thee, For Thou dost answer me.

No dia da minha angústia clamarei a ti, pois tu me responderás.

8 T here is none like Thee among the gods, O Lord, And like Thy works there are none.

Nenhum dos deuses é comparável a ti, Senhor, nenhum deles pode fazer o que tu fazes.

9 A ll nations that Thou hast made Come and bow themselves before Thee, O Lord, And give honour to Thy name.

Todas as nações que tu formaste virão e te adorarão, Senhor, e glorificarão o teu nome.

10 F or great Thou, and doing wonders, Thou God Thyself alone.

Pois tu és grande e realizas feitos maravilhosos; só tu és Deus!

11 S how me, O Jehovah, Thy way, I walk in Thy truth, My heart doth rejoice to fear Thy name.

Ensina-me o teu caminho, Senhor, para que eu ande na tua verdade; dá-me um coração inteiramente fiel, para que eu tema o teu nome.

12 I confess Thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And I honour Thy name to the age.

De todo o meu coração te louvarei, Senhor, meu Deus; glorificarei o teu nome para sempre.

13 F or Thy kindness great toward me, And Thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol.

Pois grande é o teu amor para comigo; tu me livraste das profundezas do Sheol.

14 O God, the proud have risen up against me, And a company of the terrible sought my soul, And have not placed Thee before them,

Os arrogantes estão me atacando, ó Deus; um bando de homens cruéis, gente que não faz caso de ti procura tirar-me a vida.

15 A nd Thou, O Lord, God, merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abundant in kindness and truth.

Mas tu, Senhor, és Deus compassivo e misericordioso, muito paciente, rico em amor e em fidelidade.

16 L ook unto me, and favour me, Give Thy strength to Thy servant, And give salvation to a son of Thine handmaid.

Volta-te para mim! Tem misericórdia de mim! Concede a tua força a teu servo e salva o filho da tua serva.

17 D o with me a sign for good, And those hating me see and are ashamed, For Thou, O Jehovah, hast helped me, Yea, Thou hast comforted me!

Dá-me um sinal da tua bondade, para que os meus inimigos vejam e sejam humilhados, pois tu, Senhor, me ajudaste e me consolaste.
