1 P raise ye Jah! O the happiness of one fearing Jehovah, In His commands he hath delighted greatly.

2 M ighty in the earth is his seed, The generation of the upright is blessed.

Seus descendentes serão poderosos na terra, serão uma geração abençoada, de homens íntegros.

3 W ealth and riches in his house, And his righteousness is standing for ever.

Grande riqueza há em sua casa, e a sua justiça dura para sempre.

4 L ight hath risen in darkness to the upright, Gracious, and merciful, and righteous.

A luz raia nas trevas para o íntegro, para quem é misericordioso, compassivo e justo.

5 G ood the man -- gracious and lending, He sustaineth his matters in judgment.

Feliz é o homem que empresta com generosidade e que com honestidade conduz os seus negócios.

6 F or -- to the age he is not moved; For a memorial age-during is the righteous.

O justo jamais será abalado; para sempre se lembrarão dele.

7 O f an evil report he is not afraid, Prepared is His heart, confident in Jehovah.

Não temerá más notícias; seu coração está firme, confiante no Senhor.

8 S ustained is his heart -- he feareth not, Till that he look on his adversaries.

O seu coração está seguro e nada temerá. No final, verá a derrota dos seus adversários.

9 H e hath scattered -- hath given to the needy, His righteousness is standing for ever, His horn is exalted with honour.

Reparte generosamente com os pobres; a sua justiça dura para sempre; seu poder será exaltado em honra.

10 T he wicked seeth, and hath been angry, His teeth he gnasheth, and hath melted, The desire of the wicked doth perish!

O ímpio o vê e fica irado, range os dentes e definha. O desejo dos ímpios se frustrará.
