1 P raise ye Jah! O the happiness of one fearing Jehovah, In His commands he hath delighted greatly.
Hallelujah! Blessed is the man that feareth Jehovah, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
2 M ighty in the earth is his seed, The generation of the upright is blessed.
His seed shall be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
3 W ealth and riches in his house, And his righteousness is standing for ever.
Wealth and riches in his house; and his righteousness abideth for ever.
4 L ight hath risen in darkness to the upright, Gracious, and merciful, and righteous.
Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness; he is gracious, and merciful, and righteous.
5 G ood the man -- gracious and lending, He sustaineth his matters in judgment.
It is well with the man that is gracious and lendeth; he will sustain his cause in judgment.
6 F or -- to the age he is not moved; For a memorial age-during is the righteous.
For he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
7 O f an evil report he is not afraid, Prepared is His heart, confident in Jehovah.
He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is fixed confiding in Jehovah;
8 S ustained is his heart -- he feareth not, Till that he look on his adversaries.
His heart is maintained, he is not afraid, until he see upon his oppressors.
9 H e hath scattered -- hath given to the needy, His righteousness is standing for ever, His horn is exalted with honour.
He scattereth abroad, he giveth to the needy; his righteousness abideth for ever: his horn shall be exalted with honour.
10 T he wicked seeth, and hath been angry, His teeth he gnasheth, and hath melted, The desire of the wicked doth perish!
The wicked shall see and be vexed; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
