1 ه َلِّلُويا! هَنِيئاً لِمَنْ يَخافُ اللهَ ، وَيَشتَهِي طاعَةَ وَصاياهُ.

Hallelujah! Blessed is the man that feareth Jehovah, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

2 س يَكُونُ نَسلُهُ مُحارِبِينَ أشِدّاءَ فِي الأرْضِ، ذَلِكَ الجِيلُ المُستَقِيمُ سَيُبارِكُهُ اللهُ.

His seed shall be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

3 ا لغِنَى وَالكَرامَةُ سَيَملآنِ بَيتَهُ. إلَى الأبَدِ تَقُومُ أعمالُ بِرِّهِ.

Wealth and riches in his house; and his righteousness abideth for ever.

4 ا لضِّياءُ يَسطَعُ فِي الظُّلمَةِ لِلمُسْتَقِيمِينَ، لأنَّ اللهَ طَيِّبٌ وَرَحِيمٌ وَعادِلٌ.

Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness; he is gracious, and merciful, and righteous.

5 ا لخَيرُ يُصِيبُ الإنسانَ الطَّيِّبَ وَالكَرِيمَ الَّذِي يُجرِي شُؤُونَهُ بِالعَدلِ.

It is well with the man that is gracious and lendeth; he will sustain his cause in judgment.

6 ل َنْ يَسقُطَ الأبْرارُ، وَلَنْ يُنسَى ذِكرُهُمْ إلَى الأبَدِ.

For he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

7 ل ا يَخشَوْنَ أخبارَ السُّوءِ، فقُلُوبُهُمْ راسِخَةٌ وَآمِنَةٌ فِي اللهِ.

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is fixed confiding in Jehovah;

8 ق ُلُوبُهُمْ ثابِتَةٌ فَلا يَخافُونَ، وَسَيُخضِعُونَ أعداءَهُمْ فِي نِهايَةِ الأمرِ.

His heart is maintained, he is not afraid, until he see upon his oppressors.

9 ي ُوَّزِّعُونَ عَلَى الفُقَراءِ بِسَخاءٍ. بِرُّهُمْ إلَى الأبَدِ يَبقَى، وَتَرتَفِعُ رُؤُوسُهُمْ كَرامَةً.

He scattereth abroad, he giveth to the needy; his righteousness abideth for ever: his horn shall be exalted with honour.

10 ي َرَى الأشرارُ هَذا فَيَغتاظُونَ، وَيُصِرُّونَ بِأسنانِهِمْ، لَكِنَّهُمْ يَزُولُونَ. شَهَواتُ الأشرارِ لَنْ تَؤُولَ إلَى شَيءٍ.

The wicked shall see and be vexed; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
