1 ه َذِهِ هِيَ مَراحِلُ رِحلَةِ بَني إسْرائِيلَ الَّذِينَ خَرَجُوا مِنْ أرْضِ مِصرَ فِي مَجمُوعاتٍ وَفِرَقٍ تَحتَ قِيادَةِ مُوسَى وَهارُونَ.

These are the journeys of the children of Israel, who went forth out of the land of Egypt according to their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.

2 و َكَتَبَ مُوسَى أسْماءَ الأماكِنِ الَّتِي بَدَأُوا مِنها رَحَلاتِهِمْ بِحَسَبِ أمرِ اللهِ. وَهَذِهِ هِيَ الأماكِنُ الَّتِي أتَوها وَارْتَحَلُوا مِنها:

And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of Jehovah; and these are their journeys according to their goings out.

3 ت َرَكُوا رَعَمْسِيسَ فِي اليَومِ الخامِسَ عَشَرَ مِنَ الشَّهرِ الأوَّلِ. فِي غَدِ الفِصحِ، خَرَجَ بَنو إسْرائِيلَ بِشَجاعَةٍ أمامَ كُلِّ المِصرِيِّينَ.

They journeyed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month. On the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.

4 ك انَ المِصرِيُّونَ يَدفِنُونَ أبْكارَهُمُ الَّذِينَ قَتَلَهُمْ اللهُ. وَكانَ اللهُ قَدْ أعلَنَ دَينُونَتَهُ عَلَى آلِهَةِ المِصرِيِّينَ وَعَمِلَ فِيها عَجائِبَ.

And the Egyptians buried those whom Jehovah had smitten among them, all the firstborn; and upon their gods Jehovah executed judgments.

5 ف َتَرَكَ بَنو إسْرائِيلَ رَعَمْسِيسَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي سُكُّوتَ.

And the children of Israel removed from Rameses, and encamped in Succoth.

6 و َتَرَكُوا سُكُّوتَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي إيثامَ الواقِعَةِ فِي طَرَفِ الصَّحْراءِ.

And they removed from Succoth and encamped in Etham, which is at the end of the wilderness.

7 و َتَرَكُوا إيثامَ وَاتَّجَهُوا نَحوَ فَمِ الحِيرُوثِ الواقِعِ إلَى الشَّرقِ مِنْ بَعلِ صَفُّونَ، فَخَيَّمُوا بِقُربِ مَجْدَلَ.

And they removed from Etham, and turned back to Pi-hahiroth, which is opposite Baal-Zephon, and encamped before Migdol.

8 و َتَرَكُوا فَمَ الحِيرُوثِ وَسارُوا عَبرَ البَحرِ الأحمَرِ إلَى الصَّحْراءِ. وَسافَرُوا لِمُدَّةِ ثَلاثَةِ أيّامٍ فِي بَرِّيَّةِ إيثامَ، وَخَيَّمُوا فِي مارَّةَ.

And they removed from before Hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah.

9 و َتَرَكُوا مارَّةَ وَذَهَبُوا إلَى إيلِيمَ. وَفِي إيلِيمَ، كانَ هُناكَ اثنا عَشَرَ نَبعَ ماءٍ وَسَبعُونَ نَخلَةً، فَخَيَّمُوا هُناكَ.

And they removed from Marah, and came to Elim; and in Elim were twelve springs of water, and seventy palm-trees, and they encamped there.

10 و َتَرَكُوا إيلِيمَ وَخَيَّمُوا بِقُربِ البَحرِ الأحمَرِ.

And they removed from Elim, and encamped by the Red sea.

11 و َتَرَكُوا البَحرَ الأحمَرَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي بَرِّيَّةِ صِينَ.

And they removed from the Red sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.

12 و َتَرَكُوا بَرِّيَّةَ صِينَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي دُفْقَةَ.

And they removed from the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.

13 و َتَرَكُوا دُفْقَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي ألُوشَ.

And they removed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.

14 و َتَرَكُوا ألُوشَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي رَفِيدِيمَ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ هُناكَ ماءٌ لِلشَّعبِ لِيَشرَبُوا.

And they removed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.

15 و َتَرَكُوا رَفِيدِيمَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي بَرِّيَّةِ سِيناءَ.

And they removed from Rephidim, and encamped in the wilderness of Sinai.

16 و َتَرَكُوا بَرِّيَّةَ سِيناءَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي قَبْرُوتَ هَتَّأوَةَ.

And they removed from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamped at Kibroth-hattaavah.

17 و َتَرَكُوا قَبْرُوتَ هَتَّأوَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي حَضَيرُوتَ.

And they removed from Kibroth-hattaavah, and encamped at Hazeroth.

18 و َتَرَكُوا حَضَيرُوتَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي رِثْمَةَ.

And they removed from Hazeroth, and encamped in Rithmah.

19 و َتَرَكُوا رِثْمَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي رِمُّونَ فارَصَ.

And they removed from Rithmah, and encamped at Rimmon-perez.

20 و َتَرَكُوا رِمُّونَ فارَصَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي لِبْنَةَ.

And they removed from Rimmon-perez, and encamped in Libnah.

21 و َتَرَكُوا لِبْنَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي رِسَّةَ.

And they removed from Libnah, and encamped at Rissah.

22 و َتَرَكُوا رِسَّةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي قُهَيلاتَةَ.

And they removed from Rissah, and encamped in Kehelathah.

23 و َتَرَكُوا قُهَيلاتَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي جَبَلِ شافَرَ.

And they removed from Kehelathah, and encamped in mount Shapher.

24 و َتَرَكُوا جَبَلَ شافَرَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي حَرادَةَ.

And they removed from mount Shapher, and encamped in Haradah.

25 و َتَرَكُوا حَرادَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي مَقْهَيلُوتَ.

And they removed from Haradah, and encamped in Makheloth.

26 و َتَرَكُوا مَقْهَيلُوتَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي تاحَتَ.

And they removed from Makheloth, and encamped at Tahath.

27 و َتَرَكُوا تاحَتَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي تارَحَ.

And they removed from Tahath, and encamped at Terah.

28 و َتَرَكُوا تارَحَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي مِثْقَةَ.

And they removed from Terah, and encamped in Mithcah.

29 و َتَرَكُوا مِثْقَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي حَشْمُونَةَ.

And they removed from Mithcah, and encamped in Hashmonah.

30 و َتَرَكُوا حَشْمُونَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي مُسِيرُوتَ.

And they removed from Hashmonah, and encamped in Moseroth.

31 و َتَرَكُوا مُسِيرُوتَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي بَنِي يَعْقانَ.

And they removed from Moseroth, and encamped in Bene-Jaakan.

32 و َتَرَكُوا بَنِي يَعْقانَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي حُورِ الجَدْجادِ.

And they removed from Bene-Jaakan, and encamped at Hor-hagidgad.

33 و َتَرَكُوا حُورَ الجَدْجادِ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي يُطْباتَ.

And they removed from Hor-hagidgad, and encamped in Jotbathah.

34 و َتَرَكُوا يُطباتَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي عَبْرُونَةَ.

And they removed from Jotbathah, and encamped at Abronah.

35 و َتَرَكُوا عَبْرُونَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي عِصْيُونِ جابِرَ.

And they removed from Abronah, and encamped at Ezion-geber.

36 و َتَرَكُوا عِصْيُونَ جابِرَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي قادَشَ فِي بَرِّيَّةِ صِينَ.

And they removed from Ezion-geber, and encamped in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.

37 و َتَرَكُوا قادَشَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي هُورَ، الجَبَلِ الواقِعِ عَلَى حُدُودِ أرْضِ أدُومَ.

And they removed from Kadesh, and encamped in mount Hor, in the border of the land of Edom.

38 و َصَعِدَ هارُونُ الكاهِنُ إلَى جَبَلِ هُورَ بِحَسَبِ أمرِ اللهِ ، وَماتَ عَلَيهِ فِي اليَومِ الأوَّلِ مِنَ الشَّهرِ الخامِسِ فِي السَّنَةِ الأربَعِينَ لِخُرُوجِ بَني إسْرائِيلَ مِنْ مِصرَ.

And Aaron the priest went up mount Hor by the commandment of Jehovah, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel came out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month.

39 و َكانَ هارُونُ قَدْ بَلَغَ مِنَ العُمْرِ مِئَةً وَثَلاثاً وَعِشْرِينَ سَنَةً حِينَ ماتَ عَلَى جَبَلِ هُورَ.

And Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on mount Hor.

40 و َسَمِعَ مَلِكُ عَرادَ الكَنعانِيَّ، الَّذِي كانَ يَسكُنُ فِي النَّقَبِ، أنَّ بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ آتٍ نَحوَ بِلادِهِ،

And the Canaanite, the king of Arad who dwelt in the south in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

41 ف َتَرَكَ بَنُو إسْرائِيلَ جَبَلَ هُورَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي صَلْمُونَةَ.

And they removed from mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah.

42 و َتَرَكُوا صَلْمُونَةَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي فُونُونَ.

And they removed from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon.

43 و َتَرَكُوا فُونُونَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي أُوبُوتَ.

And they removed from Punon, and encamped in Oboth.

44 و َتَرَكُوا أُوبُوتَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي عَيِّيِ عَبارِيمَ، عَلَى حُدُودِ مُوآبَ.

And they removed from Oboth, and encamped in Ijim-Abarim, in the border of Moab.

45 و َتَرَكُوا عَيِّيَ عَبارِيمَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي دِيبُونَ جادَ.

And they removed from Ijim, and encamped in Dibon-Gad.

46 و َتَرَكُوا دِيبُونَ جادَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي عَلْمُونَ دِبلاتايِمَ.

And they removed from Dibon-Gad, and encamped in Almon-Diblathaim.

47 و َتَرَكُوا عَلْمُونَ دِبلاتايِمَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي جِبالِ عَبارِيمَ قُرْبَ نِبُو.

And they removed from Almon-Diblathaim, and encamped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

48 و َتَرَكَ بَنو إسْرائِيلَ جِبالَ عَبارِيمَ وَخَيَّمُوا فِي سُهُولِ مُوآبَ بِجانِبِ نَهرِ الأُردُنِّ فِي الجِهَةِ الشَّرقِيَّةِ مُقابِلَ مَدِينَةِ أرِيحا.

And they removed from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan of Jericho.

49 و َخَيَّمُوا بِجِوارِ نَهرِ الأُردُنِّ فِي سُهُولِ مُوآبَ فِي بَيتِ يَشِيمُوتَ إلَى آبَلَ شِطِّيمَ.

And they encamped by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth unto Abel-Shittim, in the plains of Moab.

50 و َكَلَّمَ اللهُ مُوسَى فِي سُهُولِ مُوآبَ بِقُربِ نَهرِ الأُردُنِّ، إلَى الشَّرقِ مِنْ أرِيحا، فَقالَ لَهُ:

And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan of Jericho, saying,

51 « قُلْ لِبَني إسْرائِيلَ: حِينَ تَعبُرُونَ نَهرَ الأُردُنِّ إلَى أرْضِ كَنعانَ،

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye pass over Jordan into the land of Canaan,

52 ا طْرُدُوا جَمِيعَ الَّذِينَ يَسكُنُونَ فِي تِلْكَ الأرْضِ. حَطِّمُوا كُلَّ تَماثِيلِهِمِ المَنحُوتَةِ وَأوثانِهِمِ المَسبُوكَةِ، وَاهدِمُوا أماكِنَ عِبادَتِهِمْ.

then ye shall dispossess all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and ye shall destroy all their figured images, and all their molten images shall ye destroy, and all their high places shall ye lay waste;

53 ح ِينَئِذٍ، تَمتَلِكُونَ الأرْضَ وَتَسكُنُونَ فِيها، لأنِّي أعطَيتُ هَذِهِ الأرْضَ لَكُمْ.

and ye shall take possession of the land, and dwell therein, for to you have I given the land to possess it.

54 « قَسِّمُوا الأرْضَ بَينَكُمْ بِإلقاءِ القُرَعِ بِحَسَبِ قَبائِلِكُمْ وَعَشائِرِكُمْ. اجعَلُوا حِصَّةَ القَبِيلَةِ الكَبِيرَةِ كَبِيرَةً، وَحِصَّةَ القَبِيلَةِ الصَّغِيرَةِ صَغِيرَةً. وَحَيثُما وَقَعَتِ القُرعَةُ عَلَى أيَّةِ عَشِيرَةٍ، فَإنَّ تِلكَ الأرْضَ تَكُونُ لِتِلكَ القَبِيلَةِ. فَتَنالُونَ حِصَصَكُمْ مِنَ الأرْضِ بِحَسَبِ قَبائِلِكُمْ.

And ye shall take for yourselves the land as an inheritance by lot according to your families: to the many ye shall increase their inheritance, and to the few thou shalt diminish their inheritance: where the lot falleth to him, there shall be each man's; according to the tribes of your fathers shall ye take for yourselves the inheritance.

55 « وَإنْ لَمْ تَطرُدُوا النّاسَ السّاكِنِينَ فِي تِلْكَ الأرْضِ، فَإنَّ الباقِينَ مِنهُمْ سَيَكُونُونَ كَالمَخارِزِ فِي عُيُونِكُمْ، وَكالأشواكِ فِي جَوانِبِكُمْ، إذْ سَيُسَبِّبُونَ الضِّيقَ لَكُمْ فِي الأرْضِ الَّتِي سَتَسْكُنُونَها.

But if ye will not dispossess the inhabitants of the land from before you, those that ye let remain of them shall be thorns in your eyes, and pricks in your sides, and they shall harass you in the land wherein ye dwell.

56 ح ِينَئِذٍ، سَأعمَلُ بِكُمْ كَما خَطَّطْتُ لِلعَمَلِ بِهِمْ.»

And it shall come to pass that I will do unto you as I thought to do unto them.
