1 B ienaventurado el hombre que teme a Jehová y en sus mandamientos se deleita en gran manera.

Hallelujah! Blessed is the man that feareth Jehovah, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

2 S u descendencia será poderosa en la tierra; la generación de los rectos será bendita.

His seed shall be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

3 B ienes y riquezas hay en su casa, y su justicia permanece para siempre.

Wealth and riches in his house; and his righteousness abideth for ever.

4 R esplandeció en las tinieblas luz para los rectos; es clemente, misericordioso y justo.

Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness; he is gracious, and merciful, and righteous.

5 E l hombre de bien tiene misericordia y presta; gobierna sus asuntos con justicia.

It is well with the man that is gracious and lendeth; he will sustain his cause in judgment.

6 P or lo cual no resbalará jamás; en memoria eterna será el justo.

For he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

7 N o tendrá temor de malas noticias; su corazón está firme, confiado en Jehová.

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is fixed confiding in Jehovah;

8 A segurado está su corazón; no temerá, hasta que vea en sus enemigos su deseo.

His heart is maintained, he is not afraid, until he see upon his oppressors.

9 R eparte, da a los pobres; su justicia permanece para siempre; su poder será exaltado con gloria.

He scattereth abroad, he giveth to the needy; his righteousness abideth for ever: his horn shall be exalted with honour.

10 L o verá el impío y se irritará; crujirá los dientes y se consumirá. El deseo de los impíos perecerá.

The wicked shall see and be vexed; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
