1 J ehová, a ti he clamado; apresúrate a venir a mí; escucha mi voz cuando te invoque.

Jehovah, I have called upon thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I call unto thee.

2 S uba mi oración delante de ti como el incienso, el don de mis manos como la ofrenda de la tarde.

Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense, the lifting up of my hands as the evening oblation.

3 P on guarda a mi boca, Jehová; guarda la puerta de mis labios.

Set a watch, O Jehovah, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

4 N o dejes que se incline mi corazón a cosa mala, para hacer obras impías con los que hacen maldad; y no coma yo de sus deleites.

Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise deeds of wickedness with men that are workers of iniquity; and let me not eat of their dainties.

5 Q ue el justo me castigue y me reprenda será un favor; pero que bálsamo de impíos no unja mi cabeza, pues mi oración será continuamente contra sus maldades.

Let the righteous smite me, it is kindness; and let him reprove me, it is an excellent oil which my head shall not refuse: for yet my prayer also is in their calamities.

6 S erán despeñados sus jueces, y oirán mis palabras, que son verdaderas.

When their judges are thrown down from the rocks, they shall hear my words, for they are sweet.

7 C omo quien hiende y rompe la tierra, son esparcidos nuestros huesos a la boca del seol.

Our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol, as when one cutteth and cleaveth upon the earth.

8 P or tanto, a ti, Jehová, Señor, miran mis ojos. En ti he confiado: no desampares mi alma.

For unto thee, Jehovah, Lord, are mine eyes; in thee do I trust: leave not my soul destitute.

9 G uárdame de los lazos que me han tendido y de las trampas de los que hacen maldad.

Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, and from the traps of the workers of iniquity.

10 C aigan los impíos a una en sus redes, mientras yo paso adelante.

Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal pass over.
