1 H abló Jehová a Moisés en el desierto de Sinaí, en el Tabernáculo de reunión, el primer día del segundo mes, el año segundo de su salida de la tierra de Egipto, y le dijo:

And Jehovah spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai in the tent of meeting, on the first of the second month, in the second year after their departure from the land of Egypt, saying,

2 « Haced el censo de toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, por sus familias y por las casas de sus padres, registrando uno por uno los nombres de todos los hombres.

Take the sum of the whole assembly of the children of Israel, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, by the number of the names, every male, according to their polls;

3 D e veinte años para arriba, tú y Aarón registraréis a todos los que pueden salir a la guerra en Israel, según el orden de sus ejércitos.

from twenty years and upward, all that go forth to military service in Israel: ye shall number them according to their hosts, thou and Aaron.

4 Y estará con vosotros un hombre de cada tribu, uno que sea jefe de la casa de sus padres.

And with you there shall be a man for every tribe, a man who is the head of his father's house.

5 É stos son los nombres de los hombres que estarán con vosotros: »De la tribu de Rubén, Elisur hijo de Sedeur;

And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: for Reuben, Elizur the son of Shedeur;

6 » de Simeón, Selumiel hijo de Zurisadai;

for Simeon, Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai;

7 » de Judá, Naasón hijo de Aminadab;

for Judah, Nahshon the son of Amminadab;

8 » de Isacar, Natanael hijo de Zuar;

for Issachar, Nethaneel the son of Zuar;

9 » de Zabulón, Eliab hijo de Helón;

for Zebulun, Eliab the son of Helon;

10 » de los hijos de José: de Efraín, Elisama hijo de Amiud; de Manasés, Gamaliel hijo de Pedasur;

for the children of Joseph: for Ephraim, Elishama the son of Ammihud; for Manasseh, Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur;

11 » de Benjamín, Abidán hijo de Gedeoni;

for Benjamin, Abidan the son of Gideoni;

12 » de Dan, Ahiezer hijo de Amisadai;

for Dan, Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai;

13 » de Aser, Pagiel hijo de Ocrán;

for Asher, Pagiel the son of Ocran;

14 » de Gad, Eliasaf hijo de Deuel;

for Gad, Eliasaph the son of Deuel;

15 » de Neftalí, Ahira hijo de Enán.»

for Naphtali, Ahira the son of Enan.

16 É stos fueron los nombrados de entre la congregación, príncipes de las tribus de sus padres, capitanes de los millares de Israel.

These were those summoned of the assembly, princes of the tribes of their fathers, the heads of the thousands of Israel.

17 T omaron, pues, Moisés y Aarón a estos hombres que fueron designados por sus nombres,

And Moses and Aaron took these men who are expressed by their names,

18 y reunieron a toda la congregación el día primero del mes segundo. Entonces fueron registrados por familias y según las casas de sus padres, anotando uno por uno los nombres de los de veinte años para arriba.

and gathered the whole assembly together on the first of the second month. And they declared their pedigrees after their families, according to their fathers' houses, by the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, according to their polls.

19 T al como Jehová se lo había mandado, Moisés los contó en el desierto de Sinaí.

As Jehovah had commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.

20 H ijos y descendientes de Rubén, primogénito de Israel, registrados por familias y según las casas de sus padres, y anotados uno por uno los nombres de todos los hombres de veinte años para arriba, o sea, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

And the sons of Reuben, Israel's eldest son, their generations, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, by the number of the names, according to their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that went forth to military service:

21 f ueron contados de la tribu de Rubén cuarenta y seis mil quinientos.

those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Reuben, were forty-six thousand five hundred.

22 H ijos y descendientes de Simeón, registrados por familias y según las casas de sus padres, y anotados uno por uno los nombres de todos los hombres de veinte años para arriba, o sea, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

Of the sons of Simeon: their generations, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, those that were numbered of them, by the number of the names, according to their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that went forth to military service:

23 f ueron contados de la tribu de Simeón cincuenta y nueve mil trescientos.

those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.

24 H ijos y descendientes de Gad, registrados por familias y según las casas de sus padres, y anotados los nombres de los de veinte años para arriba, o sea, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

Of the sons of Gad: their generations, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, by the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that went forth to military service:

25 f ueron contados de la tribu de Gad cuarenta y cinco mil seiscientos cincuenta.

those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Gad, were forty-five thousand six hundred and fifty.

26 H ijos y descendientes de Judá, registrados por familias y según las casas de sus padres, y anotados los nombres de los de veinte años para arriba, o sea, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

Of the sons of Judah: their generations, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, by the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that went forth to military service:

27 f ueron contados de la tribu de Judá setenta y cuatro mil seiscientos.

those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Judah, were seventy-four thousand six hundred.

28 H ijos y descendientes de Isacar, registrados por familias y según las casas de sus padres, y anotados los nombres de los de veinte años para arriba, o sea, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

Of the sons of Issachar: their generations, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, by the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that went forth to military service:

those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand five hundred.

34 Y de los hijos y descendientes de Manasés, registrados por familias y según las casas de sus padres, y anotados los nombres de los de veinte años para arriba, o sea, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

Of the children of Manasseh: their generations, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, by the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that went forth to military service:

35 f ueron contados de la tribu de Manasés treinta y dos mil doscientos.

those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty-two thousand two hundred.

those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Dan, were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.

Of the sons of Asher: their generations, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, by the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that went forth to military service:

41 f ueron contados de la tribu de Aser cuarenta y un mil quinientos.

those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Asher, were forty-one thousand five hundred.

42 H ijos y descendientes de Neftalí, registrados por familias y según las casas de sus padres, y anotados los nombres de los de veinte años para arriba, o sea, todos los que podían salir a la guerra;

Of the sons of Naphtali: their generations, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, by the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that went forth to military service:

43 f ueron contados de la tribu de Neftalí cincuenta y tres mil cuatrocientos.

those that were numbered of them, of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty-three thousand four hundred.

44 É stos fueron los registrados por Moisés y Aarón, junto con los príncipes de Israel, uno por cada casa paterna.

These are those that were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, the twelve men: each one was for the house of his fathers.

45 Y todos los hijos de Israel de veinte años para arriba, todos los que podían salir a la guerra en Israel,

And all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, according to their fathers' houses, from twenty years old and upward, all that went forth to military service in Israel,

46 f ueron registrados por familias; y fueron contados seiscientos tres mil quinientos cincuenta. Nombramiento de los levitas

all they that were numbered were six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty.

47 P ero los levitas, por sus familias, no fueron registrados junto con ellos,

But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.

48 p orque Jehová le había dicho a Moisés:

For Jehovah had spoken to Moses, saying,

49 « Solamente no contarás a la tribu de Leví, ni harás el censo de ellos entre los hijos de Israel,

Only thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel.

50 s ino que confiarás a los levitas el tabernáculo del Testimonio, con todos sus utensilios y todas las cosas que le pertenecen. Ellos llevarán el Tabernáculo y todos sus enseres, servirán en él y acamparán alrededor del Tabernáculo.

But thou, appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all its vessels; and they shall serve it, and round about the tabernacle shall they encamp;

51 C uando el Tabernáculo haya de trasladarse, los levitas lo desarmarán, y cuando el Tabernáculo haya de detenerse, los levitas lo armarán. Y el extraño que se acerque, morirá.

and when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle encampeth, the Levites shall set it up; and the stranger that cometh near shall be put to death.

52 L os hijos de Israel acamparán cada uno en su campamento, y cada uno junto a su bandera, según el orden de sus ejércitos.

And the children of Israel shall encamp every man in his camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their hosts;

53 P ero los levitas acamparán alrededor del tabernáculo del Testimonio, para que no se desate la ira sobre la congregación de los hijos de Israel. Los levitas tendrán la custodia del tabernáculo del Testimonio.»

but the Levites shall encamp round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there come not wrath upon the assembly of the children of Israel; and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.

54 E hicieron los hijos de Israel conforme a todas las cosas que mandó Jehová a Moisés. Así lo hicieron.

And the children of Israel did so; according to all that Jehovah had commanded Moses, so did they.
