1 P or lo demás, hermanos, orad por nosotros, para que la palabra del Señor corra y sea glorificada, así como lo fue entre vosotros,

For the rest, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run and be glorified, even as also with you;

2 y para que seamos librados de hombres perversos y malos, pues no es de todos la fe.

and that we may be delivered from bad and evil men, for faith not of all.

3 P ero fiel es el Señor, que os afirmará y guardará del mal.

But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you and keep from evil.

4 Y tenemos confianza respecto a vosotros en el Señor, en que hacéis y haréis lo que os hemos mandado.

But we trust in the Lord as to you, that the things which we enjoin, ye both do and will do.

5 Y el Señor encamine vuestros corazones al amor de Dios y a la paciencia de Cristo. El deber de trabajar

But the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patience of the Christ.

6 P ero os ordenamos, hermanos, en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que os apartéis de todo hermano que ande desordenadamente y no según la enseñanza que recibisteis de nosotros.

Now we enjoin you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw from every brother walking disorderly and not according to the instruction which he received from us.

7 V osotros mismos sabéis de qué manera debéis imitarnos, pues nosotros no anduvimos desordenadamente entre vosotros

For ye know yourselves how ye ought to imitate us, because we have not walked disorderly among you;

8 n i comimos de balde el pan de nadie. Al contrario, trabajamos con afán y fatiga día y noche, para no ser gravosos a ninguno de vosotros;

nor have we eaten bread from any one without cost; but in toil and hardship working night and day not to be chargeable to any one of you:

9 n o porque no tuviéramos derecho, sino por daros nosotros mismos un ejemplo que podéis imitar.

not that we have not the right, but that we might give ourselves as an example to you, in order to your imitating us.

10 Y cuando estábamos con vosotros os ordenábamos esto: que si alguno no quiere trabajar, tampoco coma.

For also when we were with you we enjoined you this, that if any man does not like to work, neither let him eat.

11 A hora oímos que algunos de entre vosotros andan desordenadamente, no trabajando en nada, sino entrometiéndose en lo ajeno.

For we hear that some walking among you disorderly, not working at all, but busybodies.

12 A los tales mandamos y exhortamos por nuestro Señor Jesucristo que, trabajando sosegadamente, coman su propio pan.

Now such we enjoin and exhort in Lord Jesus Christ, that working quietly they eat their own bread.

13 P ero vosotros, hermanos, no os canséis de hacer bien.

But ye, brethren, do not faint in well-doing.

14 S i alguno no obedece a lo que decimos por medio de esta carta, a ése señaladlo y no os juntéis con él, para que se avergüence.

But if any one obey not our word by the letter, mark that man, and do not keep company with him, that he may be ashamed of himself;

15 P ero no lo tengáis por enemigo, sino amonestadlo como a hermano.

and do not esteem him as an enemy, but admonish as a brother.

16 Y el mismo Señor de paz os dé siempre paz en toda manera. El Señor sea con todos vosotros.

But the Lord of peace himself give you peace continually in every way. The Lord with you all.

17 L a salutación es de mi propia mano, de Pablo, que es el signo en toda carta mía. Así escribo.

The salutation by the hand of me, Paul, which is mark in every letter; so I write.

18 L a gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo sea con todos vosotros. Amén.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all.
