1 P rofecía. Palabra de Jehová acerca de Israel. Jehová, que extiende los cielos, funda la tierra y forma el espíritu del hombre dentro de él, ha dicho:

The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel. saith Jehovah, who stretcheth out the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him:

2 « Yo pongo a Jerusalén como una copa que hará temblar a todos los pueblos de alrededor; también contra Judá, cuando se ponga sitio a Jerusalén.

Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of bewilderment unto all the peoples round about, and also against Judah shall it be in the siege against Jerusalem.

3 E n aquel día yo pondré a Jerusalén como una piedra pesada para todos los pueblos; todos los que intenten cargarla serán despedazados. Y todas las naciones de la tierra se juntarán contra ella.

And it shall come to pass in that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone unto all peoples: all that burden themselves with it shall certainly be wounded, and all the nations of the earth shall be assembled together against it.

4 E n aquel día, dice Jehová, heriré con pánico a todo caballo, y con locura al jinete; pero pondré mis ojos sobre la casa de Judá y a todo caballo de los pueblos heriré con ceguera.

In that day, saith Jehovah, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness; but I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the peoples with blindness.

5 E ntonces dirán los capitanes de Judá en su corazón: “La fuerza de los habitantes de Jerusalén está en Jehová de los ejércitos, su Dios.”

And the leaders of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength through Jehovah of hosts their God.

6 E n aquel día pondré a los capitanes de Judá como brasero de fuego entre la leña y como antorcha ardiendo entre gavillas; consumirán a diestra y siniestra a todos los pueblos alrededor, mientras los habitantes de Jerusalén otra vez vivirán en su propia ciudad.

In that day will I make the leaders of Judah like a hearth of fire among wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the peoples round about, on the right hand and on the left; and Jerusalem shall dwell again in her own place, in Jerusalem.

7 » Jehová librará las tiendas de Judá primero, para que la gloria de la casa de David y del habitante de Jerusalén no se engrandezca sobre Judá.

And Jehovah shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem be not magnified over Judah.

8 E n aquel día Jehová defenderá al habitante de Jerusalén; el que entre ellos sea débil, en aquel tiempo será como David, y la casa de David será como Dios, como el ángel de Jehová que va delante de ellos.

In that day will Jehovah defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that stumbleth among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David as God, as the Angel of Jehovah before them.

9 E n aquel día yo procuraré destruir a todas las naciones que vengan contra Jerusalén.

And it shall come to pass in that day, I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

10 » Pero sobre la casa de David y los habitantes de Jerusalén derramaré un espíritu de gracia y de oración. Mirarán hacia mí, a quien traspasaron, y llorarán como se llora por el hijo unigénito, y se afligirán por él como quien se aflige por el primogénito.

And I will pour upon the house of David and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of grace and of supplications; and they shall look on me whom they pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for an only, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for firstborn.

11 E n aquel día habrá gran llanto en Jerusalén, como el llanto de Hadad-rimón en el valle de Meguido.

In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadad-rimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

12 E sta tierra se lamentará, familia por familia; la familia de la casa de David por su lado, y sus mujeres aparte; la familia de la casa de Natán por su lado, y sus mujeres aparte;

And the land shall mourn, every family apart: the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

13 l a familia de la casa de Leví por su lado, y sus mujeres aparte; la familia de Simei por su lado, y sus mujeres aparte;

the family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart;

14 y así todas las otras familias, cada una por su lado, y sus mujeres aparte.»

all the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.
