1 E l rey se alegra en tu poder, Jehová; y en tu salvación, ¡cómo se goza!

The king shall joy in thy strength, Jehovah; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice.

2 L e has concedido el deseo de su corazón y no le negaste la petición de sus labios, Selah

Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.

3 p orque le has salido al encuentro con bendiciones de bien; corona de oro fino has puesto sobre su cabeza.

For thou hast met him with the blessings of goodness; thou hast set a crown of pure gold on his head.

4 V ida te demandó y se la diste; largura de días eternamente y para siempre.

He asked life of thee; thou gavest him, length of days for ever and ever.

5 G rande es su gloria por tu salvación; honra y majestad has puesto sobre él.

His glory is great through thy salvation; majesty and splendour hast thou laid upon him.

6 L o has bendecido para siempre; lo llenaste de alegría con tu presencia.

For thou hast made him to be blessings for ever; thou hast filled him with joy by thy countenance.

7 P or cuanto el rey confía en Jehová, y por la misericordia del Altísimo, no será conmovido.

For the king confideth in Jehovah: and through the loving-kindness of the Most High he shall not be moved.

8 A lcanzará tu mano a todos tus enemigos; tu diestra alcanzará a los que te aborrecen.

Thy hand shall find out all thine enemies; thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.

9 L os pondrás como horno de fuego en el tiempo de tu ira; Jehová los deshará en su ira y el fuego los consumirá.

Thou shalt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thy presence; Jehovah shall swallow them up in his anger, and the fire shall devour them:

10 S u fruto destruirás de la tierra y su descendencia de entre los hijos de los hombres,

Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.

11 p orque intentaron el mal contra ti, fraguaron maquinaciones, pero no prevalecerán,

For they intended evil against thee; they imagined a mischievous device, which they could not execute.

12 p ues tú los pondrás en fuga; en tus cuerdas dispondrás saetas contra sus rostros.

For thou wilt make them turn their back; thou wilt make ready thy bowstring against their face.

13 ¡ Engrandécete, Jehová, en tu poder! ¡Cantaremos y alabaremos tu poderío!

Be thou exalted, Jehovah, in thine own strength: we will sing and celebrate thy power.
