1 A hora, así dice Jehová, Creador tuyo, Jacob, y Formador tuyo, Israel: «No temas, porque yo te redimí; te puse nombre, mío eres tú.

But now thus saith Jehovah, that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee, I have called by thy name; thou art mine.

2 C uando pases por las aguas, yo estaré contigo; y si por los ríos, no te anegarán. Cuando pases por el fuego, no te quemarás ni la llama arderá en ti.

When thou passest through the waters, I with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

3 P orque yo, Jehová, Dios tuyo, el Santo de Israel, soy tu Salvador; a Egipto he dado por tu rescate, a Etiopía y a Seba a cambio de ti.

For I Jehovah thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

4 P orque a mis ojos eres de gran estima, eres honorable y yo te he amado; daré, pues, hombres a cambio de ti y naciones a cambio de tu vida.

Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee; and I will give men for thee, and peoples for thy life.

5 N o temas, porque yo estoy contigo; del oriente traeré tu descendencia y del occidente te recogeré.

Fear not, for I with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;

6 D iré al norte: “¡Da acá!”, y al sur: “¡No los retengas; trae de lejos a mis hijos, y a mis hijas de los confines de la tierra,

I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from afar, and my daughters from the end of the earth,

7 a todos los llamados de mi nombre, que para gloria mía los he creado, los formé y los hice!”» Israel como testigo

every one that is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory: I have formed him, yea, I have made him.

8 S acad al pueblo ciego que tiene ojos y a los sordos que tienen oídos.

Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.

9 C ongréguense a una todas las naciones y júntense todos los pueblos. ¿Quién de ellos hay que nos dé noticias de esto y que nos haga oír las cosas primeras? Presenten sus testigos y justifíquense; oigan y digan: «Verdad es.»

Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled: who among them declareth this, or causeth us to hear former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified; or let them hear, and say, truth.

10 « Vosotros sois mis testigos, dice Jehová, y mi siervo que yo escogí, para que me conozcáis y creáis y entendáis que yo mismo soy; antes de mí no fue formado dios ni lo será después de mí.

Ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I HE: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

11 Y o, yo soy Jehová, y fuera de mí no hay quien salve.

I, I Jehovah; and besides me there is no saviour.

12 Y o anuncié y salvé, hice oír y no hubo entre vosotros dios ajeno. Vosotros, pues, sois mis testigos, dice Jehová, que yo soy Dios.

It is I that have declared, and have saved, and have shewed, when there was no strange among you; and ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, that I God.

13 A un antes que hubiera día, yo era, y no hay quien de mis manos libre. Lo que hago yo, ¿quién lo estorbará?»

Yea, since the day was, I HE, and there is none that delivereth out of my hand: I will work, and who shall hinder it?

14 A sí dice Jehová, Redentor vuestro, el Santo de Israel: «Por vosotros envié a Babilonia e hice descender como fugitivos a todos ellos, aun a los caldeos en las naves de que se gloriaban.

Thus saith Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought all of them down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships.

15 Y o, Jehová, Santo vuestro, Creador de Israel, vuestro Rey.

I Jehovah, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.

16 A sí dice Jehová, el que abre camino en el mar y senda en las aguas impetuosas;

Thus saith Jehovah, who maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters,

17 e l que saca carro y caballo, ejército y fuerza; caen juntamente para no levantarse; se extinguen, como pábilo son apagados.

who bringeth forth chariot and horse, army and power—they lie down together, they shall not rise; they are extinct, they are quenched as tow:

18 N o os acordéis de las cosas pasadas ni traigáis a la memoria las cosas antiguas.

—Remember not the former things, neither consider the ancient things:

19 H e aquí que yo hago cosa nueva; pronto saldrá a luz, ¿no la conoceréis? Otra vez abriré camino en el desierto y ríos en la tierra estéril.

behold, I do a new thing; now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the waste.

20 L as fieras del campo me honrarán, los chacales y los pollos del avestruz; porque daré aguas en el desierto, ríos en la tierra estéril, para que beba mi pueblo, mi escogido.

The beast of the field shall glorify me, the jackals and the ostriches; for I will give waters in the wilderness, rivers in the waste, to give drink to my people, my chosen.

21 E ste pueblo he creado para mí; mis alabanzas publicará.

This people have I formed for myself: they shall shew forth my praise.

22 » Y no me invocaste a mí, Jacob, sino que de mí te cansaste, Israel.

—But thou hast not called upon me, Jacob; for thou hast been weary of me, O Israel:

23 N o me trajiste los animales de tus holocaustos ni me honraste con tus sacrificios; no te hice servir con ofrenda ni te hice fatigar con incienso.

thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt-offerings, neither hast thou glorified me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to toil with an oblation, nor wearied thee with incense.

24 N o compraste para mí caña aromática por dinero ni me saciaste con la grasa de tus sacrificios, sino que pusiste sobre mí la carga de tus pecados, me fatigaste con tus maldades.

Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices; but thou hast made me to toil with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.

25 » Yo, yo soy quien borro tus rebeliones por amor de mí mismo, y no me acordaré de tus pecados.

—I, I He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and I will not remember thy sins.

26 H azme recordar, entremos juntos a juicio. ¡Habla tú para justificarte!

Put me in remembrance, let us plead together; rehearse thine own, that thou mayest be justified.

27 T u primer padre pecó y tus enseñadores se rebelaron contra mí.

Thy first father hath sinned, and thy mediators have rebelled against me.

28 P or tanto, yo profané a los príncipes del santuario, entregué a maldición a Jacob y por ultraje a Israel.

And I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the ban, and Israel to reproaches.
