1 E n ti, Jehová, he confiado; no sea yo confundido jamás. ¡Líbrame en tu justicia!

In thee, Jehovah, do I trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.

2 I nclina a mí tu oído, líbrame pronto. ¡Sé tú mi roca fuerte y la fortaleza para salvarme!

Incline thine ear to me, deliver me speedily; be a strong rock to me, a house of defence to save me.

3 T ú eres mi roca y mi castillo; por tu nombre me guiarás y me encaminarás.

For thou art my rock and my fortress; and, for thy name's sake, thou wilt lead me and guide me.

4 ¡ Sácame de la red que me han tendido, pues tú eres mi refugio!

Draw me out of the net that they have hidden for me; for thou art my strength.

5 E n tu mano encomiendo mi espíritu; tú me has redimido, Jehová, Dios de verdad.

Into thy hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, Jehovah, God of truth.

6 A borrezco a los que esperan en ídolos vanos; mas yo en Jehová he esperado.

I have hated them that observe lying vanities; and as for me, I have confided in Jehovah.

7 M e gozaré y alegraré en tu misericordia, porque has visto mi aflicción, has conocido las angustias de mi alma.

I will be glad and rejoice in thy loving-kindness, for thou hast seen mine affliction; thou hast known the troubles of my soul,

8 N o me entregaste en manos del enemigo; pusiste mis pies en lugar espacioso.

And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large place.

9 T en misericordia de mí, Jehová, porque estoy en angustia; se han consumido de tristeza mis ojos, también mi alma y mi cuerpo.

Be gracious unto me, Jehovah, for I am in trouble: mine eye wasteth away with vexation, my soul and my belly.

10 M i vida se va gastando de dolor y mis años de suspirar; ¡se agotan mis fuerzas a causa de mi maldad y mis huesos se consumen!

For my life is spent with sorrow, and my years with sighing; my strength faileth through mine iniquity, and my bones are wasted.

11 D e todos mis enemigos soy objeto de oprobio, y de mis vecinos mucho más; soy el horror de mis conocidos. ¡Los que me ven afuera huyen de mí!

More than to all mine oppressors, I am become exceedingly a reproach, even to my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that see me without flee from me.

12 H e sido olvidado de su corazón como un muerto; he llegado a ser como un vaso quebrado.

I am forgotten in heart as a dead man; I am become like a broken vessel.

13 O igo la calumnia de muchos; el miedo me asalta por todas partes, mientras conspiran juntos contra mí e idean quitarme la vida.

For I have heard the slander of many—terror on every side—when they take counsel together against me: they plot to take away my life.

14 M as yo en ti, Jehová, confío; digo: «¡Tú eres mi Dios.

But I confided in thee, Jehovah; I said, thou art my God.

15 E n tu mano están mis tiempos!» Líbrame de manos de mis enemigos y de mis perseguidores.

My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from my persecutors.

16 H az resplandecer tu rostro sobre tu siervo; ¡sálvame por tu misericordia!

Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; save me in thy loving-kindness.

17 N o sea yo avergonzado, Jehová, ya que te he invocado; ¡sean avergonzados los impíos, estén mudos en el seol!

Jehovah, let me not be ashamed; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, let them be silent in Sheol.

18 E nmudezcan los labios mentirosos, que hablan contra el justo cosas duras con soberbia y menosprecio.

Let the lying lips become dumb, which speak insolently against the righteous in pride and contempt.

19 ¡ Cuán grande es tu bondad, que has guardado para los que te temen, que has mostrado a los que esperan en ti, delante de los hijos de los hombres!

how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee, thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee, before the sons of men!

20 E n lo secreto de tu presencia los esconderás de la conspiración del hombre; los pondrás en tu Tabernáculo a cubierto de lenguas contenciosas.

Thou keepest them concealed in the secret of thy presence from the conspiracies of man; thou hidest them in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

21 B endito sea Jehová, porque ha hecho maravillosa su misericordia para conmigo en ciudad fortificada.

Blessed be Jehovah; for he hath shewn me wondrously his loving-kindness in a strong city.

22 D ecía yo en mi apuro: «Excluido soy de delante de tus ojos»; pero tú oíste la voz de mis ruegos cuando a ti clamé.

As for me, I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes; nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.

23 A mad a Jehová, todos vosotros sus santos; a los fieles guarda Jehová y retribuye con creces al que procede con soberbia.

Love Jehovah, all ye his saints. Jehovah preserveth the faithful, and plentifully requiteth the proud doer.

24 E sforzaos todos vosotros, los que esperáis en Jehová, y tome aliento vuestro corazón.

Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all ye that hope in Jehovah.
