1 S e alegrarán el desierto y el erial; la estepa se gozará y florecerá como la rosa.

The wilderness and the dry land shall be gladdened; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

2 F lorecerá profusamente y también se alegrará y cantará con júbilo; la gloria del Líbano le será dada, la hermosura del Carmelo y de Sarón. Ellos verán la gloria de Jehová, el esplendor del Dios nuestro.

It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice even with joy and shouting: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of Jehovah, the excellency of our God.

3 ¡ Fortaleced las manos cansadas, afirmad las rodillas endebles!

Strengthen the weak hands and confirm the tottering knees.

4 D ecid a los de corazón apocado: «¡Esforzaos, no temáis! He aquí que vuestro Dios viene con retribución, con pago; Dios mismo vendrá y os salvará.»

Say to them that are of a timid heart, Be strong, fear not; behold your God: vengeance cometh, the recompense of God! He will come himself, and save you.

5 E ntonces los ojos de los ciegos serán abiertos y destapados los oídos de los sordos.

Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf be unstopped;

6 E ntonces el cojo saltará como un ciervo y cantará la lengua del mudo, porque aguas serán cavadas en el desierto y torrentes en la estepa.

then shall the lame leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and torrents in the desert.

7 E l lugar seco se convertirá en estanque y el sequedal en manaderos de aguas. La guarida de los chacales, donde ellos se refugian, será lugar de cañas y juncos.

And the mirage shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of wild dogs, where they lay down, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

8 Y habrá allí calzada y camino, el cual será llamado Camino de Santidad. No pasará por allí ningún impuro, sino que él mismo estará con ellos. El que ande por este camino, por torpe que sea, no se extraviará.

And a highway shall be there and a way, and it shall be called, The way of holiness: the unclean shall not pass through it; but it shall be for these. Those that go way—even fools,—shall not err.

9 N o habrá allí león, ni fieras subirán por él ni allí se encontrarán, para que caminen los redimidos.

No lion shall be there, nor shall ravenous beast go up thereon, nor be found there; but the redeemed shall walk.

10 Y los redimidos por Jehová volverán a Sión con alegría; y habrá gozo perpetuo sobre sus cabezas. Tendrán gozo y alegría, y huirán la tristeza y el gemido.

And the ransomed of Jehovah shall return, and come to Zion with singing; and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
