1 Y o me alegré con los que me decían: «¡A la casa de Jehová iremos!»

I rejoiced when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of Jehovah.

2 N uestros pies estuvieron dentro de tus puertas, Jerusalén.

Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

3 J erusalén, que ha sido edificada como una ciudad que está bien unida entre sí.

Jerusalem, which art built as a city that is compact together,

4 A llá subieron las tribus, las tribus de Jah, conforme al testimonio dado a Israel, para alabar el nombre de Jehová,

Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of Jah, a testimony to Israel, to give thanks unto the name of Jehovah.

5 p orque allá están las sillas del juicio, los tronos de la casa de David.

For there are set thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

6 P edid por la paz de Jerusalén; ¡sean prosperados los que te aman!

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

7 ¡ Sea la paz dentro de tus muros y el descanso dentro de tus palacios!

Peace be within thy bulwarks, prosperity within thy palaces.

8 P or amor de mis hermanos y mis compañeros diré yo: «¡La paz sea contigo!»

For my brethren and companions' sakes I will say, Peace be within thee!

9 P or amor a la casa de Jehová, nuestro Dios, buscaré tu bien.

Because of the house of Jehovah our God I will seek thy good.
