1 Y o me alegro con los que me dicen: «Vamos a la casa del Señor.»

I rejoiced when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of Jehovah.

2 Y a nuestros pies se dan prisa; ¡ya estamos, Jerusalén, ante tus puertas!

Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

3 L a ciudad de Jerusalén fue construida como centro de reunión de la comunidad.

Jerusalem, which art built as a city that is compact together,

4 T odas las tribus del Señor llegan a ella, cumpliendo con la orden dada a Israel de alabar allí el nombre del Señor.

Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of Jah, a testimony to Israel, to give thanks unto the name of Jehovah.

5 A llí se encuentran los tribunales de justicia; allí está el trono de la casa de David.

For there are set thrones for judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

6 P idamos por la paz de Jerusalén, y porque prosperen los que te aman.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

7 Q ue haya paz dentro de tus murallas, y se respire tranquilidad en tus palacios.

Peace be within thy bulwarks, prosperity within thy palaces.

8 P or mis hermanos y mis compañeros, ruego a Dios que haya paz en ti.

For my brethren and companions' sakes I will say, Peace be within thee!

9 P or el templo del Señor nuestro Dios, pido a Dios que te dé bienestar.

Because of the house of Jehovah our God I will seek thy good.
