1 D ios mío, ¡tú eres mi Dios! Yo te buscaré de madrugada. Mi alma desfallece de sed por ti; mi ser entero te busca con ansias, en terrenos secos e inhóspitos, sin agua,

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee. My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh languisheth for thee, in a dry and weary land without water:

To see thy power and thy glory, as I have beheld thee in the sanctuary;

3 T u misericordia es mejor que la vida; por eso mis labios te alaban.

For thy loving-kindness is better than life: my lips shall praise thee.

4 ¡ Yo te bendeciré mientras tenga vida, y en tu nombre levantaré mis manos!

So will I bless thee while I live; I will lift up my hands in thy name.

5 M i alma quedará del todo satisfecha, como si comiera los mejores platillos, y mis labios te aclamarán jubilosos

My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise with joyful lips.

6 a l pensar en ti recostado en mi lecho, al meditar en ti durante mis desvelos.

When I remember thee upon my bed, I meditate on thee in the night-watches:

7 P orque tú has sido mi socorro, alegré viviré bajo la sombra de tus alas.

For thou hast been my help, and in the shadow of thy wings will I sing for joy.

8 M i alma está apegada a ti; tu mano derecha me brinda apoyo.

My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

9 L os que buscan matarme y acabar conmigo caerán a lo más profundo de la tierra.

But those that seek my soul, to destroy, shall go into the lower parts of the earth;

10 L os matarán a filo de espada; servirán de alimento a los chacales.

They shall be given over to the power of the sword; they shall be the portion of foxes.

11 P ero el rey se regocijará en Dios, y todos los que juran por él serán alabados, pero la boca de los mentirosos será acallada.

But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: for the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
