1 B ildad el suhita respondió:

And Bildad the Shuhite answered and said,

2 « El poder de Dios infunde temor; él hace la paz en las alturas de los cielos.

Dominion and fear are with him; he maketh peace in his high places.

3 ¿ Acaso pueden contarse sus ejércitos? ¿Hay quien pueda esconderse de su luz?

Is there any number of his troops? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

4 S i no, ¿cómo puede justificarse el hombre ante Dios? ¡Nadie que haya nacido de mujer está limpio de pecado!

And how should man be just with God? Or how should he be clean that is born of a woman?

5 A los ojos de Dios, nada está limpio de impureza; ¡ni siquiera la blanca luna ni las brillantes estrellas!

Lo, even the moon is not bright; and the stars are not pure in his sight:

6 ¡ Todo hombre, todo ser humano, es impuro y miserable como un gusano!»

How much less man, a worm, and the son of man, a worm!
