1 » Cuando llegue el momento, se abrirá un manantial para que la casa de David y los habitantes de Jerusalén se purifiquen de su pecado y de su impureza.

In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

2 » Cuando llegue ese día, borraré de la tierra los nombres de los ídolos, y nunca más serán recordados. Además, acabaré por completo con los profetas y con el espíritu de impureza. —Palabra del Señor de los ejércitos.

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered; and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.

3 » Sucederá entonces que, si acaso alguien llega a profetizar, su padre y su madre que lo engendraron le dirán: “No mereces vivir, porque has mentido en el nombre del Señor”; y juntos su padre y su madre le quitarán la vida por pretender ser profeta.

And it shall come to pass, if any shall yet prophesy, that his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of Jehovah; and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.

4 » Cuando llegue el momento, sucederá que todos los profetas se avergonzarán de sus visiones y profecías, y nunca más volverán a ponerse vestidos de piel para engañar.

And it shall come to pass in that day, the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he prophesieth; neither shall they wear a hairy mantle to deceive.

5 M ás bien, cada uno de ellos dirá: “Yo no soy profeta, sino labrador de la tierra. Desde mi juventud he trabajado en el campo.”

And he shall say, I am no prophet, I am a tiller of the ground; for man acquired me from my youth.

6 Y si le preguntan: “¿De qué son esas heridas en tus manos?”, aquél responderá: “Son las heridas que me hicieron mis amigos, mientras estaba en su casa.” El pastor del Señor será herido

And one shall say unto him, What are those wounds in thy hands? And he will say, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

7 » ¡Vamos, espada, ataca al pastor! ¡Ataca a mi amigo de confianza! ¡Ataca al pastor, y se dispersarán las ovejas! Entonces yo descargaré mi mano sobre los corderos más pequeños. —Palabra del Señor de los ejércitos.

Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, even against the man my fellow, saith Jehovah of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered, and I will turn my hand upon the little ones.

8 » Sucederá entonces que en toda la tierra las dos terceras partes serán destruidas, y se perderán; pero la tercera parte quedará con vida. —Palabra del Señor.

And it shall come to pass in all the land, saith Jehovah, two parts therein shall be cut off die; but the third shall be left therein.

9 » Entonces echaré al fuego esa tercera parte, y los fundiré como se funde la plata; ¡los probaré como se prueba el oro! Ellos invocarán mi nombre, y yo les responderé con estas palabras: “Ustedes son mi pueblo”, y ellos me dirán: “El Señor es nuestro Dios.”»

And I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried. They shall call on my name, and I will answer them: I will say, It is my people; and they shall say, Jehovah is my God.
