1 A nd Bildad the Shuhite answered and said,

2 D ominion and fear are with him; he maketh peace in his high places.

3 I s there any number of his troops? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

¿Acaso pueden contarse sus ejércitos? ¿Hay quien pueda esconderse de su luz?

4 A nd how should man be just with God? Or how should he be clean that is born of a woman?

Si no, ¿cómo puede justificarse el hombre ante Dios? ¡Nadie que haya nacido de mujer está limpio de pecado!

5 L o, even the moon is not bright; and the stars are not pure in his sight:

A los ojos de Dios, nada está limpio de impureza; ¡ni siquiera la blanca luna ni las brillantes estrellas!

6 H ow much less man, a worm, and the son of man, a worm!

¡Todo hombre, todo ser humano, es impuro y miserable como un gusano!»
