1 J ehovah, I have called upon thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I call unto thee.

Señor, a ti clamo; ¡ven pronto a mí! ¡Escúchame cuando te llame!

2 L et my prayer be set forth before thee as incense, the lifting up of my hands as the evening oblation.

¡Recibe mi oración como ofrenda de incienso, y mis manos levantadas como ofrenda de la tarde!

3 S et a watch, O Jehovah, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

Señor, pon un vigilante en mi boca; ¡ponle un sello a mis labios!

4 I ncline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise deeds of wickedness with men that are workers of iniquity; and let me not eat of their dainties.

No dejes que mi corazón caiga en la maldad, ni me dejes cometer actos inicuos, ni que me junte con los malvados y participe en banquetes de malhechores.

5 L et the righteous smite me, it is kindness; and let him reprove me, it is an excellent oil which my head shall not refuse: for yet my prayer also is in their calamities.

Que el hombre honrado me castigue, será un acto de misericordia, pero no quiero que sobre mi cabeza se derrame el perfume de los malvados. En mis oraciones pido sin cesar que reprendas sus malas acciones,

6 W hen their judges are thrown down from the rocks, they shall hear my words, for they are sweet.

que sus gobernantes sean despeñados, y que hagan caso de la verdad de mis palabras.

7 O ur bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol, as when one cutteth and cleaveth upon the earth.

Nuestros huesos se dispersan a la orilla del sepulcro como se dispersa la tierra tras los surcos que deja el arado.

8 F or unto thee, Jehovah, Lord, are mine eyes; in thee do I trust: leave not my soul destitute.

Por eso, Señor y Dios, mis ojos te buscan. En ti confío. ¡No me desampares!

9 K eep me from the snare which they have laid for me, and from the traps of the workers of iniquity.

Protégeme de las trampas que los malvados arman y tienden contra mí.

10 L et the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal pass over.

¡Hazlos caer en sus propias trampas, y permíteme ponerme a salvo!
