1 J ehovah, I have called upon thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I call unto thee.

Псалом Давидів. Господи, кличу до Тебе, поспішися до мене, почуй же мій голос, як кличу до Тебе!

2 L et my prayer be set forth before thee as incense, the lifting up of my hands as the evening oblation.

Нехай стане молитва моя як кадило перед лицем Твоїм, підношення рук моїх як жертва вечірня!

3 S et a watch, O Jehovah, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

Поклади, Господи, сторожу на уста мої, стережи двері губ моїх!

4 I ncline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise deeds of wickedness with men that are workers of iniquity; and let me not eat of their dainties.

Не дай нахилятися серцю моєму до речі лихої, щоб учинки робити безбожністю, із людьми, що чинять переступ, і щоб не ласувався я їхніми присмаками!

5 L et the righteous smite me, it is kindness; and let him reprove me, it is an excellent oil which my head shall not refuse: for yet my prayer also is in their calamities.

Як праведний вразить мене, то це милість, а докорить мені, це олива на голову, її не відкине моя голова, бо ще і молитва моя проти їхнього зла.

6 W hen their judges are thrown down from the rocks, they shall hear my words, for they are sweet.

Їхні судді по скелі розкидані, та слова мої вчують, бо приємні вони...

7 O ur bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol, as when one cutteth and cleaveth upon the earth.

Як дрова рубають й розколюють їх на землі, так розкидані наші кістки над отвором шеолу.

8 F or unto thee, Jehovah, Lord, are mine eyes; in thee do I trust: leave not my soul destitute.

Бо до Тебе, о Господи, Владико, мої очі, на Тебе надіюсь не зруйновуй мого життя!

9 K eep me from the snare which they have laid for me, and from the traps of the workers of iniquity.

Бережи Ти від пастки мене, що на мене поставили, та від тенет переступників!

10 L et the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal pass over.

Хай безбожні попадають разом до сітки своєї, а я промину!
