1 B ut we ought, we that are strong, to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

Ми, сильні, повинні нести слабості безсилих, а не собі догоджати.

2 L et each one of us please his neighbour with a view to what is good, to edification.

Кожен із нас нехай догоджає ближньому на добро для збудування.

3 F or the Christ also did not please himself; but according as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproach thee have fallen upon me.

Бо й Христос не Собі догоджав, але як написано: Зневаги тих, хто Тебе зневажає, упали на Мене.

4 F or as many things as have been written before have been written for our instruction, that through endurance and through encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.

А все, що давніше написане, написане нам на науку, щоб терпінням і потіхою з Писання ми мали надію.

5 N ow the God of endurance and of encouragement give to you to be like-minded one toward another, according to Christ Jesus;

А Бог терпеливости й потіхи нехай дасть вам бути однодумними між собою за Христом Ісусом,

6 t hat ye may with one accord, with one mouth, glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

щоб ви однодушно, одними устами славили Бога й Отця Господа нашого Ісуса Христа.

7 W herefore receive ye one another, according as the Christ also has received you to glory of God.

Приймайте тому один одного, як і Христос прийняв нас до Божої слави.

8 F or I say that Jesus Christ became a minister of circumcision for truth of God, to confirm the promises of the fathers;

Кажу ж, що Христос для обрізаних став за служку ради Божої правди, щоб отцям потвердити обітниці,

9 a nd that the nations should glorify God for mercy; according as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among nations, and will sing to thy name.

а для поган щоб славили Бога за милосердя, як написано: Тому я хвалитиму Тебе, Господи, серед поган, і Ім'я Твоє буду виспівувати!

10 A nd again he says, Rejoice, nations, with his people.

І ще каже: Тіштесь, погани, з народом Його!

11 A nd again, Praise the Lord, all nations, and let all the peoples laud him.

І ще: Хваліть, усі погани, Господа, виславляйте Його, усі люди!

12 A nd again, Esaias says, There shall be the root of Jesse, and one that arises, to rule over nations: in him shall nations hope.

І ще каже Ісая: Буде корінь Єссеїв, що постане, щоб панувати над поганами, погани на Нього надіятись будуть!

13 N ow the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that ye should abound in hope by power of Holy Spirit.

Бог же надії нехай вас наповнить усякою радістю й миром у вірі, щоб ви збагатились надією, силою Духа Святого!

14 B ut I am persuaded, my brethren, I myself also, concerning you, that yourselves also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

І я про вас сам пересвідчений, браття мої, що й самі ви повні добрости, наповнені всяким знанням, і можете й один одного навчати.

15 B ut I have written to you the more boldly, in part, as putting you in mind, because of the grace given to me by God,

А писав я вам почасти трохи сміліше, якби вам нагадуючи благодаттю, що дана мені від Бога,

16 f or me to be minister of Christ Jesus to the nations, carrying on as a sacrificial service the glad tidings of God, in order that the offering up of the nations might be acceptable, sanctified by Holy Spirit.

щоб був я слугою Христа Ісуса між поганами, і виконував святу службу Євангелії Божої, щоб приношення поган стало приємне й освячене Духом Святим.

17 I have therefore boast in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to God.

Тож маю я чим похвалитись у Христі Ісусі, щодо Божих речей,

18 F or I will not dare to speak anything of the things which Christ has not wrought by me, for obedience of nations, by word and deed,

бо не смію казати того, чого не зробив через мене Христос на послух поган, словом і чином,

19 i n power of signs and wonders, in power of Spirit of God; so that I, from Jerusalem, and in a circuit round to Illyricum, have fully preached the glad tidings of the Christ;

силою ознак і чудес, силою Духа Божого, так що я поширив Євангелію Христову від Єрусалиму й околиць аж до Ілліріка.

20 a nd so aiming to announce the glad tidings, not where Christ has been named, that I might not build upon another's foundation;

При тому пильнував я звіщати Євангелію не там, де Христове Ім'я було знане, щоб не будувати на основі чужій,

21 b ut according as it is written, To whom there was nothing told concerning him, they shall see; and they that have not heard shall understand.

але як написано: Кому не звіщалось про Нього, побачать, і ті, хто не чув, зрозуміють!

22 W herefore also I have been often hindered from coming to you.

Тому часто я мав перешкоди, щоб прибути до вас.

23 B ut now, having no longer place in these regions, and having great desire to come to you these many years,

А тепер, не маючи більше місця в країнах оцих, але з давніх літ мавши бажання прибути до вас,

24 w henever I should go to Spain; (for I hope to see you as I go through, and by you to be set forward thither, if first I shall have been in part filled with your company;)

коли тільки піду до Еспанії, прибуду до вас. Бо маю надію, як буду проходити, побачити вас, і що ви проведете мене туди, коли перше почасти матиму я задоволення з вами побути.

25 b ut now I go to Jerusalem, ministering to the saints;

А тепер я йду до Єрусалиму послужити святим,

26 f or Macedonia and Achaia have been well pleased to make a certain contribution for the poor of the saints who in Jerusalem.

бо Македонія й Ахая визнали за добре подати деяку поміч незаможним святим, що в Єрусалимі живуть.

27 T hey have been well pleased indeed, and they are their debtors; for if the nations have participated in their spiritual things, they ought also in fleshly to minister to them.

Бо визнали за добре, та й боржники вони їхні. Бо коли погани стали спільниками в їх духовнім, то повинні й у тілеснім послужити їм.

28 H aving finished this therefore, and having sealed to them this fruit, I will set off by you into Spain.

Як це докінчу та достачу їм плід цей, тоді через ваше місто я піду до Еспанії.

29 B ut I know that, coming to you, I shall come in fulness of blessing of Christ.

І знаю, що коли прийду до вас, то прийду в повноті Христового благословення.

30 B ut I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in prayers for me to God;

Благаю ж вас, браття, Господом нашим Ісусом Христом і любов'ю Духа, помагайте мені в молитвах за мене до Бога,

31 t hat I may be saved from those that do not believe in Judaea; and that my ministry which for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints;

щоб мені визволитися від неслухняних в Юдеї, і щоб служба моя в Єрусалимі була приємна святим,

32 i n order that I may come to you in joy by God's will, and that I may be refreshed with you.

щоб із волі Божої з радістю прийти до вас і відпочити з вами!

33 A nd the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

А Бог миру нехай буде зо всіма вами. Амінь.
