1 I t is good to give thanks unto Jehovah, and to sing psalms unto thy name, O Most High;

Псалом. Пісня на день суботній. (92-2) То добре, щоб дякувати Господеві й виспівувати Ймення Твоє, о Всевишній,

2 T o declare thy loving-kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness in the nights,

(92-3) вранці розповідати про милість Твою, а ночами про правду Твою

3 U pon an instrument of ten strings and upon the lute; upon the Higgaion with the harp.

(92-4) на десятиструнній й на арфі, на лютні та гуслах,

4 F or thou, Jehovah, hast made me glad through thy work; I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

(92-5) бо потішив мене Ти, о Господи, вчинком Своїм, про діла Твоїх рук я співаю!

5 J ehovah, how great are thy works! Thy thoughts are very deep:

(92-6) Які то величні діла Твої, Господи, дуже глибокі думки Твої,

6 A brutish man knoweth not, neither doth a fool understand it.

(92-7) нерозумна людина не знає, а недоумок не зрозуміє того!

7 W hen the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity flourish, it is that they may be destroyed for ever.

(92-8) Коли несправедливі ростуть, як трава, і цвітуть всі злочинці, то на те, щоб навіки були вони знищені,

8 A nd thou, Jehovah, art on high for evermore.

(92-9) а Ти, Господи, на висоті повік-віку!

9 F or lo, thine enemies, O Jehovah, for lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

(92-10) Бо ось вороги Твої, Господи, бо ось вороги Твої згинуть, розпорошаться всі беззаконники!

10 B ut my horn shalt thou exalt like a buffalo's: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

(92-11) і Ти рога мого підніс немов в однорожця, мене намастив Ти оливою свіжою.

11 A nd mine eye shall see on mine enemies; mine ears shall hear of the evil-doers that rise up against me.

(92-12) і дивилося око моє на занепад моїх ворогів, тих злочинців, що на мене встають, почують про це мої уші!

12 T he righteous shall shoot forth like a palm-tree; he shall grow like a cedar on Lebanon.

(92-13) Зацвіте справедливий, як пальма, і виженеться, немов кедр на Ливані,

13 T hose that are planted in the house of Jehovah shall flourish in the courts of our God:

(92-14) посаджені в домі Господнім цвітуть на подвір'ях нашого Бога,

14 T hey are still vigorous in old age, they are full of sap and green;

(92-15) іще в сивині вони будуть цвісти, будуть ситі та свіжі,

15 T o shew that Jehovah is upright: my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

(92-16) щоб розповідати, що щирий Господь, моя скеля, і в Ньому неправди нема!
