1 I t is good to give thanks unto Jehovah, and to sing psalms unto thy name, O Most High;

Bueno es alabarte, Jehová, y cantar salmos a tu nombre, oh Altísimo;

2 T o declare thy loving-kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness in the nights,

anunciar por la mañana tu misericordia y tu fidelidad cada noche,

3 U pon an instrument of ten strings and upon the lute; upon the Higgaion with the harp.

con el decacordio y el salterio, en tono suave, con el arpa.

4 F or thou, Jehovah, hast made me glad through thy work; I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

Por cuanto me has alegrado, Jehová, con tus obras; en las obras de tus manos me gozo.

5 J ehovah, how great are thy works! Thy thoughts are very deep:

¡Cuán grandes son tus obras, Jehová! ¡Muy profundos son tus pensamientos!

6 A brutish man knoweth not, neither doth a fool understand it.

El hombre necio no sabe y el insensato no entiende esto:

7 W hen the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity flourish, it is that they may be destroyed for ever.

Cuando brotan los impíos como la hierba y florecen todos los que hacen maldad, es para ser destruidos eternamente.

8 A nd thou, Jehovah, art on high for evermore.

Mas tú, Jehová, para siempre eres altísimo.

9 F or lo, thine enemies, O Jehovah, for lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

Aquí están tus enemigos, Jehová, ciertamente perecerán tus enemigos; serán esparcidos todos los que hacen maldad.

10 B ut my horn shalt thou exalt like a buffalo's: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

Pero tú aumentarás mis fuerzas como las del toro salvaje; seré ungido con aceite fresco.

11 A nd mine eye shall see on mine enemies; mine ears shall hear of the evil-doers that rise up against me.

Y mirarán mis ojos sobre mis enemigos; oirán mis oídos acerca de los que se levantaron contra mí, de los malignos.

12 T he righteous shall shoot forth like a palm-tree; he shall grow like a cedar on Lebanon.

El justo florecerá como la palmera; crecerá como cedro en el Líbano.

13 T hose that are planted in the house of Jehovah shall flourish in the courts of our God:

Plantados en la casa de Jehová, en los atrios de nuestro Dios florecerán.

14 T hey are still vigorous in old age, they are full of sap and green;

Aun en la vejez fructificarán; estarán vigorosos y verdes,

15 T o shew that Jehovah is upright: my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

para anunciar que Jehová, mi fortaleza, es recto y que en él no hay injusticia.
