1 A nd Jehovah said to Moses, Yet one plague will I bring upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let go altogether, he shall utterly drive you out hence.

Jehová dijo a Moisés: —Una plaga más traeré sobre el faraón y sobre Egipto, después de la cual él os dejará ir de aquí. De seguro que os echará de aquí definitivamente.

2 S peak now in the ears of the people, that they ask every man of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, utensils of silver and utensils of gold.

Habla ahora al pueblo, que cada uno pida a su vecino y cada una a su vecina, alhajas de plata y de oro.

3 A nd Jehovah gave the people favour in the eyes of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt—in the eyes of Pharaoh's bondmen, and in the eyes of the people.

Jehová hizo que el pueblo se ganara el favor de los egipcios. También Moisés era considerado un gran hombre en la tierra de Egipto, a los ojos de los siervos del faraón y a los ojos del pueblo.

4 A nd Moses said, Thus saith Jehovah: About midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt.

Dijo, pues, Moisés: —Jehová ha dicho así: “Hacia la medianoche yo atravesaré el país de Egipto,

5 A nd all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sitteth on his throne, even unto the firstborn of the bondwoman that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of cattle.

y morirá todo primogénito en tierra de Egipto, desde el primogénito del faraón que se sienta en su trono, hasta el primogénito de la sierva que está tras el molino, y todo primogénito de las bestias.

6 A nd there shall be a great cry throughout the land of Egypt, such as there hath been none like it, nor shall be like it any more.

Y habrá gran clamor por toda la tierra de Egipto, cual nunca hubo ni jamás habrá.

7 B ut against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast; that ye may know that Jehovah distinguisheth between the Egyptians and Israel.

Pero contra todos los hijos de Israel, desde el hombre hasta la bestia, ni un perro moverá su lengua, para que sepáis que Jehová hace diferencia entre los egipcios y los israelitas.”

8 A nd all these thy bondmen shall come down unto me, and bow down to me, saying, Go out, thou, and all the people that follow thee; and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a glowing anger.

Entonces vendrán a mí todos estos tus siervos, e inclinados delante de mí dirán: “Vete, tú y todo el pueblo que está bajo tus órdenes.” Y después de esto yo saldré. Y salió muy enojado de la presencia del faraón.

9 A nd Jehovah had said to Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken to you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.

Luego Jehová dijo a Moisés: —El faraón no os oirá, para que mis maravillas se multipliquen en la tierra de Egipto.

10 A nd Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh; but Jehovah made Pharaoh's heart stubborn, and he did not let the children of Israel go out of his land.

Moisés y Aarón hicieron todos estos prodigios delante del faraón, pues Jehová había endurecido el corazón del faraón, y éste no dejó salir a los hijos de Israel fuera de su país.
