3 A nd the children of Israel gave to the Levites out of their inheritance, according to the word of Jehovah, these cities and their suburbs.

Entonces los hijos de Israel dieron de su propia herencia a los levitas, conforme al mandato de Jehová, las siguientes ciudades con sus ejidos.

4 A nd the lot came forth for the families of the Kohathites. And the children of Aaron the priest, of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of the Simeonites, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.

La suerte cayó sobre las familias de los coatitas, y a los levitas descendientes de Aarón, el sacerdote, les tocaron en suerte trece ciudades de la tribu de Judá, de la tribu de Simeón y de la tribu de Benjamín.

5 A nd the children of Kohath that remained had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.

A los otros hijos de Coat les tocaron en suerte diez ciudades de las familias de la tribu de Efraín, de la tribu de Dan y de la media tribu de Manasés.

6 A nd the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.

A los hijos de Gersón les tocaron en suerte trece ciudades de las familias de la tribu de Isacar, de la tribu de Aser, de la tribu de Neftalí y de la media tribu de Manasés en Basán.

7 T he children of Merari according to their families had by lot out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

A los hijos de Merari, según sus familias, les tocaron doce ciudades de la tribu de Rubén, de la tribu de Gad y de la tribu de Zabulón.

8 A nd the children of Israel gave by lot to the Levites these cities and their suburbs, as Jehovah commanded through Moses.

Dieron, pues, los hijos de Israel a los levitas estas ciudades con sus ejidos, por suertes, como había mandado Jehová por conducto de Moisés.

9 A nd they gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which were mentioned by name,

De la tribu de los hijos de Judá, y de la tribu de los hijos de Simeón, dieron estas ciudades que han sido nombradas,

10 a nd which the children of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, of the children of Levi had (for theirs was the first lot);

las cuales obtuvieron los hijos de Aarón de las familias de Coat, los hijos de Leví, porque a ellos correspondió la primera suerte.

11 a nd they gave them Kirjath-Arba, the father of Anak, that is, Hebron, in the mountain of Judah, with its suburbs round about it.

Les dieron Quiriat-arba, del padre de Anac, la cual es Hebrón, en los montes de Judá, con sus ejidos circundantes.

12 B ut the fields of the city and the hamlets thereof gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.

Pero el campo de la ciudad con sus aldeas se lo dieron a Caleb hijo de Jefone como posesión suya.

13 A nd they gave to the children of Aaron the priest the city of refuge for the slayer, Hebron and its suburbs; and Libnah and its suburbs,

A los hijos del sacerdote Aarón les dieron Hebrón con sus ejidos como ciudad de refugio para los homicidas; además, Libna con sus ejidos,

En total fueron doce las ciudades que les tocaron en suerte a los hijos de Merari, por familias, o sea, al resto de las familias de los levitas.

41 A ll the cities of the Levites within the possession of the children of Israel were forty-eight cities and their suburbs.

El total de las ciudades de los levitas en medio del territorio de los hijos de Israel: cuarenta y ocho ciudades con sus ejidos.

42 E ach one of these cities had its suburbs round about it: thus were all these cities.

Estas ciudades estaban apartadas la una de la otra, cada cual con sus ejidos en torno a ella. Así fue con todas estas ciudades. Israel ocupa la tierra

43 A nd Jehovah gave to Israel all the land which he swore to give unto their fathers; and they took possession of it, and dwelt in it.

De esta manera dio Jehová a Israel toda la tierra que había jurado dar a sus padres. Tomaron posesión de ella, y la habitaron.

44 A nd Jehovah gave them rest round about, according to all that he had sworn unto their fathers; and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them: Jehovah gave all their enemies into their hand.

Jehová les dio paz a su alrededor, conforme a todo lo que había jurado a sus padres, y ninguno de sus enemigos pudo hacerles frente, porque Jehová entregó en sus manos a todos sus enemigos.

45 T here failed nothing of all the good things that Jehovah had spoken to the house of Israel: all came to pass.

No faltó ni una palabra de todas las buenas promesas que Jehová había hecho a la casa de Israel. Todo se cumplió.
