1 A nd Bildad the Shuhite answered and said,

Respondió Bildad, el suhita, y dijo:

2 D ominion and fear are with him; he maketh peace in his high places.

3 I s there any number of his troops? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

4 A nd how should man be just with God? Or how should he be clean that is born of a woman?

¿Cómo, pues, se justificará el hombre delante de Dios? ¿Cómo será puro el que nace de mujer?

5 L o, even the moon is not bright; and the stars are not pure in his sight:

Si ni aun la misma luna es resplandeciente ni las estrellas son puras delante de sus ojos,

6 H ow much less man, a worm, and the son of man, a worm!

¿cuánto menos el hombre, ese gusano, ese gusano que es el hijo de hombre?»
