1 A nd the lot came forth for the children of Joseph from the Jordan of Jericho as far as the waters of Jericho eastwards, to the wilderness which goes up from Jericho to the hill-country of Bethel.

A los hijos de José les tocó en suerte recibir desde el Jordán de Jericó hasta los manantiales al oriente de Jericó, en dirección al desierto que va de Jericó a las montañas de Betel.

2 A nd went from Bethel to Luz, and passed to the border of the Archites to Ataroth,

De Betel, que es Luz, sigue a lo largo del territorio de los arquitas, hasta Atarot;

3 a nd went down westward to the border of the Japhletites, as far as the border of the lower Beth-horon, and to Gezer; and ended at the sea.

baja luego hacia el occidente al territorio de los jafletitas, en los límites de Bet Jorón la de abajo, hasta Guézer, y sale al mar.

4 A nd the children of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, took their inheritance.

Manasés y Efraín, los hijos de José, también recibieron su parte.

5 A nd the border of the children of Ephraim was according to their families; the border of their inheritance eastwards was Ataroth-Addar as far as the upper Beth-horon;

Por el oriente, el territorio que recibieron los hijos de Efraín, conforme al número de sus familias, partía de Atarot Adar hasta Bet Jorón la de arriba.

6 a nd the border went forth westwards to Micmethath on the north; and the border turned eastwards to Taanath-Shiloh, and passed by it eastwards to Janohah,

La frontera sigue hasta el mar, y llega a Micmetat, al norte; da vuelta hacia el oriente hasta Tanat Siló, y pasa a Yanoja.

7 a nd went down from Janohah to Ataroth and Naarath, and touched upon Jericho, and went out to the Jordan.

De Yanoja desciende a Atarot y Narat, toca Jericó y sale al Jordán.

8 F rom Tappuah the border went westwards to the torrent Kanah, and ended at the sea. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Ephraim according to their families,

De Tapuaj se vuelve hacia el mar, al arroyo de Caná, y sale al mar. Éste es el territorio que le tocó a la tribu de los hijos de Efraín, conforme al número de sus familias.

9 w ith the cities that were set apart for the children of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities and their hamlets.

Entre la heredad de los hijos de Manasés también se apartaron ciudades con sus aldeas para los hijos de Efraín.

10 B ut they did not dispossess the Canaanites that dwelt at Gezer; and the Canaanites dwell in the midst of Ephraim to this day, and serve under tribute.

Sin embargo, no pudieron arrojaron a los cananeos que habitaban en Guézer, así que se quedaron a vivir entre la tribu de Efraín, y hasta el día de hoy son sus tributarios.
