1 D ios, Dios mío eres tú; a ti madrugaré; mi alma tuvo sed de ti, mi carne te desea en tierra de sequedad y transida sin aguas.

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee. My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh languisheth for thee, in a dry and weary land without water:

2 A sí te miré en santidad, cuando vi tu fortaleza y tu gloria.

To see thy power and thy glory, as I have beheld thee in the sanctuary;

3 ¶ Porque mejor es tu misericordia que la vida; mis labios te alabarán.

For thy loving-kindness is better than life: my lips shall praise thee.

4 A sí te bendeciré en mi vida; en tu Nombre alzaré mis manos.

So will I bless thee while I live; I will lift up my hands in thy name.

5 C omo de sebo y de grosura será saciada mi alma; y con labios de alegría te alabará mi boca,

My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise with joyful lips.

6 c uando me acordare de ti en mi lecho, cuando meditare de ti en las velas de la noche.

When I remember thee upon my bed, I meditate on thee in the night-watches:

7 ¶ Porque has sido mi socorro; y así en la sombra de tus alas me regocijaré.

For thou hast been my help, and in the shadow of thy wings will I sing for joy.

8 M i alma se apegó tras de ti; tu diestra me ha sustentado.

My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

9 M as los que para destrucción buscaron mi alma, descendieron en los sitios bajos de la tierra.

But those that seek my soul, to destroy, shall go into the lower parts of the earth;

10 L os matarán a filo de espada; serán porción de las zorras.

They shall be given over to the power of the sword; they shall be the portion of foxes.

11 Y el rey se alegrará en Dios; serán alabados todos los que juran por él; porque la boca de los que hablan mentira, será cerrada.

But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: for the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
